...the afterlife is shiny [complete]
Character(s): Nataku
Content: Nataku enters Paixao, yay
Setting: Niflheim
Time: Week2, night
Warnings: None D:
Nataku was not dead, and this was surprising. He looked down and touched the lapels on his jacket, feeling them complete where there should be a hole. The skin beneath, then, must also be intact, because his clothing was unstained. It was then that he raised his head, looking up at the nightsky, then forward at the line of people. This ... was not the gateway to Heaven (because he was sure, somehow, that he would not go there). He touched the scarf which hovered around his shoulders, for once feeling unsure about its presence.
He waited patiently, not wishing to find what was on the other side of the gate. However, his turn with the gatekeeper did eventually come, and he was faced with a sweet young woman. She beamed at him, holding out a rectangular object. "Welcome to Paixao, name?" It took him a moment to understand what she was asking.
"...ah..." He paused, Kazuki on the tip of his tongue, just briefly, "...Nataku." That name was banished with a thought. Kazuki was hardly him, now, as he was. She nodded brightly, handing him the rectangle and waving a hand, indicating that he should proceed.
Nataku nodded briefly to her, accepting the odd object. He would investigate it later, for now it was slipped into the fold of his clothing. The former Dragon of Earth surveyed the scene before him. This... wasn't right. This wasn't Death. Instead it was an odd enclosure? Or just a city? The people moved around in their daily tasks, but they were all strangely similar in coloring. He was lost, moreso now than ever before.
