A'shopping We Will Go [Complete]

Characters: Yuzuriha, Chris and Yun
Content: Clothes shopping!
Setting: Mercado de Parede
Time: Early afternoon
Warnings: None.

Though the journal had a map, it could only get so detailed. It listed most of the major buildings, but it couldn't cover ever single outlet in the city. Which was fine, Yuzuriha supposed, because sometimes it was more fun to just wander around and see what one could find.

That had been her plan for doing sightseeing in Tokyo, at least. Maybe it wasn't the best idea in a city like Tokyo, but Paixao seemed safer. So the three of them set off in the direction of the nearest train station, assuming that there would have to be some shops nearby. Or, if not, there'd have to be a local from whom they could ask directions.

Yuzuriha had no problem twittering away cheerfully as they walked, asking silly little questions about Chris and Yun's world, as well as talking about her own. Even after learning about other peoples' worlds over the journals, she found it fun to see just how different the other worlds could be.

Inuki trotted alongside her, walking between Yuzuriha and Yun out of preference for people that could see him. Yuzuriha was still a bit curious as to how Yun could see him, but it wasn't too imperative to ask. She hadn't asked Luc how he'd been able to see Inuki either, now that she thought about it.

As they passed by, Chris was the first to take note of a place called "Mercado de Parede," and suggest that they look inside. It didn't sound like any sort of shop that Yuzuriha had ever visited, but she was willing to give it a try!

Chris had been keeping her eyes open for anything that looked like a clothing store. But it was kind of hard to find it when some of the names here were written in a language she couldn't understand. One of these stores however, seemed to be what they were looking for. It had yet to be seen exactly what kind of clothes they sold there though.

Hopefully it would be suitable for Yun and Yuzuriha's tastes, whatever they may be. Chris didn't particularly plan on buying too much for herself though. After all, she preferred wearing her armor and felt most comfortable with that.

Well, maybe just one new set of clothes for whenever her armor needed to be repaired and fixed. She had no idea what to buy though. It had been so long since the last time she went searching for clothes...

Actually, she couldn't even remember that last time.

Yun's previous conversation with Chris had left the young shamaness with quite a lot on her mind. She wasn't too surprised with Luc being in the city (if she herself could be here, then why not him?), but her mind wasn't completely at ease. As such, she was less talkative than usual, but if anyone thought to point it out, she'd wave it off with smiles and giggles; a convincing mask to hide her troubles.

She followed the others inside the shop, curious to see what she would find inside. Being from such a small, secluded village, she'd never done much shopping before, much less for clothing. She glanced down at her outfit, smoothing out her skirt, and wondered if she'd find anything even remotely similar to her preferred Alma Kinan garb in this place.

That didn't seem very likely, however, if the appearance of the townspeople was anything to go by. Well, Yun was always willing to try new things, and clothing was as good a place to start as any other.

She wandered ahead, looking around at all the place had to offer. It was exciting, to finally see with her own eyes what the world outside Alma Kinan and the whole of the Grasslands was like!

It was so big, much larger than any of the stores she had seen in her travels. And it looked like they sold more than just clothing and garments. How... convenient. Why didn't anybody think of doing that back in her world? It seemed like such a simple yet effective concept for stores, after all.

However, as fascinating as it was, Chris was still in highly unfamiliar territory. Not wanting to possibly embarrass herself in front of her friends, she let the much younger and more "up-to-date" Yuzuriha lead her around. The fashion here was very different than what she was used to seeing. Some of the outfits didn't look so bad, while others just left Chris confused.

"Feel free to pick out as much clothing as you need." She said to both Yuzuriha and Yun. Her mind then began to wonder once again at the sight of all the items that were sold here.

"I wonder if they sell armor polish..." Chris asked herself.

[OOC: Idea. We should get ourselves an NPC employee who's all about fashion and spaz out when she sees an armored up Chris and like... force her into a dressing room with all sorts of questionable clothing. Hi, how's it going?]

Yun's eyes widened slightly as she took in her surroundings. Everything was all so foreign to her, but she rather liked that; she'd always thought it was odd for a seer to be so secluded from the rest of the world. And now she was experiencing an entirely new world, how lucky!

Smiling, she followed Yuzuriha and Chris further into the store, and couldn't help but raise her eyebrows at the selection of clothing. The styles were certainly quite different from what she was used to, but the clothes weren't altogether too bad. And Yun was willing to try something new, so long as it was comfortable.

Glancing back at Chris, Yun noticed that the Silver Maiden looked even more confused than she herself felt. "I was hoping the clothes here would be like what they wear in Zexen," she said, laughing, "or even at home, in the village... But that doesn't seem to be so, does it!"

((OOC: I approve! >D It'll amuse the hell out of Yun, at least~))

((OOC: PWA. Here comes the magical appearance of NPC employee. I hope I do not fail your expectations.))

Madison paced up and down the aisle-- or at least she thought she was-- until she reached an area in a story with three ladies apparently shopping for clothing nearby. Even though she watched others do the same as them nearly every day there was no stopping the thought that escaped... HOW ADORABLE! She gave a loud squeal of delight until she realized one of them was wearing armor. There was a prolonged gasp of horror: a girl is wearing a-r-m-o-r, what had the world done to her? What was wrong with her? And it wasn't even that attractive. The corset began to uncomfortably tighten around her (as she commonly "inflated" when she upset). It was a rather obnoxious way of dealing with the situation at hand but after reflecting upon it for a fraction of a second, Madison took the liberty to take several steps in order to be of reach of the oh-so-unfashionable-girl-in-armor.

"Excuuuuuuse me madams," the employee mustered to say as politely as she could, "I would like to make a suggestion. You know..." She pointed a finger at the one who was wearing armor slyly. Suddenly she convalesced, quickly taking several cloths from the shelves. "OOOH Look at this!" A wide grin shone on the woman when she came across a tight, bright red dress that had layers of laces and white ribbons more toward the base. It was out-dated but what the heck—it was better than what the soldier was wearing right now. With both her hands gripped onto the shoulders of the armored female, she attempted to push her into a dressing room: "C'mon, try it out~ You'll like it."

Chris was more than a little surprised at what had just happened to her. Where did this woman come from? And just what exactly did she want with her, of all people? Well, it became clear to Chris that this woman didn't seem to agree with her choice in "clothes"... But on earth made her think that Chris even wanted to wear such a ridiculous outfit?

"I-I will do no such thing!"

Where all the employees there like this?

She continued protesting and was quite against wearing such clothes, but the woman didn't seem to be paying much attention to her at all and sucessfully managed to force the very hesitant Chris into one of the dressing rooms.

The knight was definitely regretting ever stepping foot in this store now.

[OOC: We can close the thread here and backlog the rest. Okay?]
