Just when she was finally remembering... [Completed]
Character(s): Kairi, Megara, anyone who wants to join
Content: Oh look, it's ... not Destiny Islands.
Setting: Niflheim Gate
Time: Week 2, afternoon
Warnings: Nothing from Kairi anyway.
She was dizzy, that was the first thing she noticed. The second was the chatter going on around her and none of the voices were ones she was expecting. She expected to hear Selphie, if anyone. But when Kairi, trying to see through the blur, called out for her friend, there was no response and none of the other chatter died down.
When things finally stopped spinning she found herself staring up and then the wave of dizziness kicked in for one final shot and she lost her balance and fell to the ground.
"This... isn't..." she gaped at the large domes and her gaze lastly keyed in on the gate and the small gathering of people where the chattering had been coming from. Not Destiny Islands, or Traverse Town, or any of the other short list of worlds she had been to.
Perhaps she should have just stayed still when she first started to get a headache back home... this just didn't seem fair. She finally, after nearly a year, remembered his name and then this happens.
...did that mean Sora was here?
Slowly, Kairi picked herself up from the ground, collecting her thoughts - which was easier than she thought after the pileup of memories that just filed back into her mind again.
Confidence. Sora had to be here; it's the only explaination she had for even being somewhere other than her island.
She would have remembered some storm sucking her away, and it's not like she woke up from a coma.
...or she was... pretty sure she hadn't.
Finally, Kairi moved towards the line, and it was the unusual ruffle of clothing that made her stop again - the new realization that the comfortable cling of clothing was not quite there anymore, but... it all was still hers.
With a splurge of Sora-style.
Stupid boys.
Kairi sighed, stretching out her arms to try and get use to the different feel, and brought back the confidence from before with a strong smile on her face.
Now if only she could will the line just to go a little bit faster.
She wanted to find them: her friends. Sora... Riku... They were here. She could... feel it.

no subject
"Enjoy the city of Paixao!" he gave her a wave.
There was a sudden confusion behind her and the chattering group had finally noticed that Kairi had slid ahead of them in line and so Kairi uttered a fast apology and darted through the gates, clutching the object to her chest.
Paixao.
Wow.
Kairi tried not to gape for too long. She glanced around and relocated herself near the woman from before. Megara. Yeah, that was the name, Kairi nodded to herself. "This place is really amazing looking," she commented. Oh boy... this place was huge looking - that was the truth to it! How was she ever going to find Sora and Riku through this? Like trying to find a pearl in a whole entire beach, with no clams around to even make them!
...
Kairi couldn't stop herself from gaping any longer.
