La fiesta a la Haja o Que Houver (Excuse my poor Spanish, por favor) [Closed/Complete]
Character(s): Kairi, Naminé, and Gojyo (This was originally a two person thread, hence the replies to each other's comments at the beginning. It is now a group post.)
Content: Arriving at Haja o Que Houver, paying the rent, strange circumstances, and two drawings.
Setting: Haja o Que Houver
Time: Saturday, early evening
Warnings: None at the moment. (So no, they do not pay the rent THAT way.)
As it turns out, they wouldn't be dying that night. How fortunate. They had found themselves at a nice, if a little run-down hotel. It also had a restaurant, which could mean only one thing. FOOD. Ahh, but how to pay? Naminé had pondered this question as they stood on the threshold to the hotel. Paying was, of course, the biggest issue here. And Naminé hadn't a clue as to how to do so. She stood debating what do outside the door, when suddenly she felt her arm being grabbed. It was not Kairi's hand that grabbed her.
Naminé was pulled into the large room in the front of the hotel. She could hear loud music, which she had not heard from the entrance. Or maybe she had, but she had been too busy thinking to notice. But now was not a time for thinking, as she was swept up into a dance.
Spinning, spinning, spinning.
And spinning. Her insides were spinning.
She was going to hurl.
When suddenly it stopped. She dizzily fell against a nearby wall. Oy. Her sketchbook fell to the floor, the pages fanning out. She looked up. The world was zig-zaging up and down, back and forth. And then there was a shape. She could see red. Kairi?
Her eyes readjusted. No, not Kairi. It was a woman holding a red cloth looking down at her. She looked concerned. At least, Naminé thought she looked concerned. But then, she had been noticing the same thing about many of the people in this city...
"Are you alright?" the person asked. Where had Naminé heard that before? She organized her sketchbook and stood up, resting her back against the wall to brace her.
"yes~Yes!" she squeaked, her fear coming out in the pitch of her voice.
"Come on dear," the woman said, unsmiling. How odd. She had no choice but to follow the woman. It was either that or stay in the crazy room. Hard decision, really.
The lady brought her to a quieter back room and motioned for her to sit down in one of the chairs. Naminé sat down gratefully. The woman handed her a glass. Water. Naminé took a small sip, before setting it back down. The nauseous feeling was beginning to subside. She heard footsteps behind her and turned a little too quickly. Ugh, and just as it was going away... It was a blonde haired man, and he did not look happy. But then again, neither did anyone else. The man's mouth was moving now. Oh, he was speaking. She must be utterly deaf.
"Sorry, it's a little rough out there," he said, turning his head to the side slightly, as if examining her. And he was certainly right about the hotel. Though, she thought it was more than a LITTLE rough. "Are you looking for a room?" Naminé blushed beat red. She was looking for a room, of course, but with no way to pay...
The man turned towards the woman, as if they knew very well what Naminé was thinking. The woman nodded towards Naminé. "You draw?"
Naminé nodded, "A little, yes." The woman stood up and extended her hand. Naminé stared at it for a second before realizing that the woman wanted to view her drawings. She gave her sketchbook to the woman. The woman turned the pages delicately with her fingers, gazing at each page intently. She handed the sketchbook back to Naminé.
"Those are very nice," she said, and the corners of her mouth twitched up slightly, "Would you mind... drawing a portrait of us?"
The man closed his eyes, but nodded. "Yes, you can pay for your night's stay with that." Naminé smiled shyly.
"Umm, and could my friend stay too? She's..." That's when Naminé realized she had no idea where Kairi was.

Two drawings done by Naminé later that evening, to pay for their bill.

She thought she heard a shout of her name, but the music and the voices muddled it so she couldn't hear. It probably wasn't Kairi anyway. So, she did the only thing she could think of.
She ran out of the hotel in search of her friend.

to Nami
He'd been walking for quite a while through the strange town, not really knowing exactly where he was headed. He knew he should probably look for Sanzo or Hakkai, but he had no idea how big this city was nor how to go about contacting them.
So Gojyo had decided he need to attend to more pressing matter. And at the moment those were his tired feet and empty stomach. He'd noticed that everything around the city that should have been organic seemed to be manufactured. The trees bore fruit, but it would have been the same as trying to eat glass if one were to bite into them.
So when he'd seen a building in the distance with lights on and raucous music floating from it, his spirit had lifted serveral notches. Thankfully, this place wasn't devoid of an important element in the red-head's life: parties. Gojyo set off towards it at a brisk trot.
"Oof-!"
Something ran smack into his middle, knocking him back a few steps.
"What the-? Oh... Hey kid, are you alright?"
Had it been someone older, Gojyo probably would have yelled at them to watch where they were going, but he had a definete soft spot for kids- especially since this one had a look of panic and despair in her eyes.
to no one. because kairi is ALONE FOR NOW - SOB -
To Gojyo
Ahh, that question again. She had been answering it a lot lately. "Y-yes, I'm fine," she managed to stammer out, "I'm terribly sorry." She didn't want to be rude, but she couldn't help looking from side to side for her lost friend. Oh, where was she...?
To Nami
"No problem. Uh, you havin' some kind of trouble?"
He asked, wondering if she'd perhaps gotten seperated from her family. Girls that young shouldn't be wandering around the streets at night- even in a town this nice looking.
to myself. still. T__T
To Gojyo
"Umm, no, I mean, yes, a little. My friend, umm, hair like yours..." Naminé found that she could not speak in coherent sentences anymore. She fumbled with the edge of her dress and willed herself not to cry. It wasn't the man that was making her nervous. It was the night, and the loss of her friend, and the feeling of being so alone and oh!
She was crying again.
To Nami
...Oh no. She was crying. If there was one thing in the entire world that Gojyo couldn't ever stand by and watch- it would be a woman crying.
"Hey...It's okay, don't cry."
He said in a low comforting baritone, reaching out and gingerly putting a hand on her shoulder. How could someone have just gone and left this poor girl all alone?
"Listen, I'll help you find your friend. But you gotta stop crying, 'cause pretty girls look better when they're smilin', okay?"
He grinned and winked at her.
"Oh- I'm Gojyo. You got a name?"
still alone. u_u
To Gojyo
"Ehh?" she said as her blonde hair blew across her face from the passing breeze. "Was that...?"
She looked down the path and saw a red head bobbing along, and away from Naminé. "Ahh, Kairi!" she cried, but it seemed she didn't shout loud enough as the girl kept on running. She started to race after her, her sandals going clop, clop on the dusty path. She had completely forgotten about Gojyo.
To Nami [Even though he was ignored XD]
"Jeeze... Wait up!"
He called, dashing down the street to keep in sight of the running figure with blonde hair. Kids these days had way too short attention spans...

"...Warn me when you're...gonna randomly run away...next time."

To Kairi (And Gojyo)
Naminé just smiled at Kairi's excited babbling, having nothing to say in response. When Kairi's expression changed to that of confusion, she turned around to find Gojyo standing there. She turned red with embarrassment, having forgotten about him.
"Oh no, I'm terribly sorry!" she said quickly. Naminé was being awfully rude lately. She bowed her head, apologizing again. She looked up to Kairi's confused face.
"Ahh, Kairi, this is Gojyo. Gojyo, this is Kairi," Naminé said, introducing the two, "Gojyo was helping me find you." She smiled at him, hoping that he had forgiven her for leaving him.
to Nami and Kairi
"Hey, I-"
He stopped, interupted by the loud growling of his stomach.
"...really think I need to get something to eat."
Gojyo finished, looking slightly embarassed.

To Kairi and Gojyo
Naminé walked up to the door and motioned to Gojyo and Kairi to follow her.
to Kairi and Nami
Gojyo brightened up at the blonde girl's mention of obtaining some free food and shelter. Earlier he'd been pondering how he was going to pay for anything once he reached the hotel- but now his problem was solved! He followed after Kairi and Namine, wondering briefly if this place's hospitality would extend to some alcohol as well...

To Kairi and Gojyo
"Umm, excuse me, do you happen to know.." Oh wait. She didn't know their names. Now that would be a problem. Naminé tried listing a description of the couple, but almost anyone in the room could be described with 'blonde hair, blue eyes,' herself included. Naminé turned back to the room, but could not see them anywhere.
She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned. Relief filled her. It was the woman she had seen before. Naminé bowed her head, "Sorry for running out on you earlier. I had lost my friend." Naminé decided to formally introduce herself this time.
"I'm Naminé, and these are my... my friends, Kairi and Gojyo." The woman smiled and handed Naminé her sketchbook and her journal, which she had not noticed the woman had been carrying before. Naminé thanked her and leafed through the pages, relieved to find that Kairi's handkerchief was still there.
"My name is Agora," the woman told her, while tucking a stray hair around her ear.
Naminé smiled sheepishly, afraid to ask the next question. "Umm, my friends and I haven't eaten all day, so..." The woman just nodded and bid them to follow her to one of the tables. Naminé opened to a blank page in her sketchbook before trailing after her.

"So... Agora, was it? Nice looking place you got here."
Oh yeah, the old Gojyo Charm was thick tonight. He flashed her another winning smile, picking up a menu.
"Not as nice as you, though."
to namine and the horny one.
To Kairi and Gojyo
rejected ;-;
The red-head's gaze shifted to Namine sketching for a moment. What kind of weird Inn excepted drawings as payment? Not that he was complaining.
to namine and the sobbing one. XD
To Kairi and Rejected
Agora nodded, "Oh, you must mean Direit. I'll fetch him after you decide your meals." She carefully took the drawing and left, presumably to return when they had decided. She didn't give a second glance in Gojyo's direction.
Naminé had just begun to look at her menu when she heard Kairi shout, "Pancakes!" She was startled and looked over to see her friend hiding behind a menu, obviously embarrassed.
"Pancakes?" she asked, uncertain, "What are those?"
to namine { sorry. kairi needs to run to riku. xD }
