The tracks. [Completed]
Character(s): Haine Rammsteiner, Lady
Content: After Haine's encounter with Axel and a night of wandering, Haine ends up in the very heart of Paixao.
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Early Monday morning, week two
Warnings: None.
The familiar sounds of the train were comforting, to say the least. Haine watched the scenery fly past with glazed eyes. The empty seats, the grinding metal-on-metal, the chattering people surrounding him, were a reminder of past memories—of Giovanni. He didn't dwell on them. After all, he wasn't here. Maybe...she was. He knew this wasn't likely to be true, deep down. But he was still looking. Time wasn't a factor anymore. Why should his location change anything?
There was something about this place, Paixao. Something not quite right. He wasn't sure if he should do anything about it, or care, for that matter. The possibility of experimentation disgusted him. There was something. Something so fake. The trees, the grass. It was all synthetic. But why? The word "project" echoed in his mind. It could be trivial. But there was possibility.
There was something about the natives, too. White hair, red eyes, some of them. Like Haine.
Haine's thoughts were put to a stop when a voice called out, signaling the train's stop at the very heart of Paixao. The train roared and slowed then ceased movement. Reality came crashing back as the doors of the train opened and a cool, fresh air rushed through. Haine stood up, slowly straightening his spine. He frowned inwardly and stepped off the train, his footsteps leaving echoes in the vast, spacious ceiling of the station. He stood still for a moment, absorbing the atmosphere.
Then he walked, with no particular destination in mind, and soon became submerged in the crowd of people.

Lady was holding herself, looking for some sort of a map at the part of the station, just not too far from the trains would stop, for train directions, as well as better maps to this 'Paixao'. Sighing some to a degree, Lady had to take off her gloves. There wasn't really a point to bring her enormous cannon, probably because of the bond she had to it.
The young woman was already looking at a station map, from the people passing her. None of them were stupid to rub up against her, anyway.

Haine mingled with the crowd, so to speak. Like any other wanderer, he wasn't paying too much attention to the people around him. Just keep moving with the giant mass of people. Like a giant cell, in a way. He was aware of them--he always was--but today, he had other things on his mind.
Which might account for the reason why he ran into a young woman that looked particularly like that one girl, with the sword..
He mumbled an apology and kept walking.

Lady had been perfectly content, looking for something useful for her and Dante. Either case, she was going to do something besides going out drinking, arguing with fire demons. She pulled out a few maps, just a little before someone bumped into her, causing her to drop them.
"Oh, for fuck sakes," Lady wasn't really amused, bending back dowm to grab them. She'd barely caught a glimpse of who bumped into her. Sadly, Lady wasn't one to let things rest easily...
Collecting her temper before it lashed out, Lady got to her feet to go after the person who bumped into her. No, she really didn't hear the apology (or maybe she did and was living up to her antagonistic nature), and was less than a little huffy already.

He walked alone.
It was something he was used to.
But for some reason, it bothered him.
Like there was something behind him.
Watching.
Waiting.
