Dr.P's In The House [Active]
Character(s): Paine, Rukia, Haruhi, (Open to more?)
Content: Paine's disapproving arrival in Paixao at Muspelheim Gate.
Setting: Muspelheim Gate
Time: Mid-Afternoon Monday
Warnings: None.
"Come on, Nooj. Gippal. Baralai. You guys have got to be around somewhere." Paine was muttering to herself. For so long she'd been searching for them. For entirely too long if someone had asked for her opinion. Honestly, why did they need to leave after they all defeated Vegnagun together? It was the first time they were allowed to be together since the incident at the Den of Woe. It would have been a lie if Paine had said she wasn't nostalgic for the 'glory days'. She really didn't want to admit it, though. After helping Yuna and Rikku out, she was left to being on her own again. The problem was..she didn't know what to do with herself. What could she do? What did she want to do?
She wanted answers. That was her primary reason for now stalking into this land that she was growing increasingly unfamiliar with. Wait, wait. Paine unfamiliar? This was Spira. She knew every place in Spira. At least, she thought she did. Was she wrong? Had she been so locked into her own self that she'd failed to pay more attention to her surroundings. As her head lifted, her eyes scouted the area. It was a barren place, little life if really any at all. What caught her attention was a long line of people. ..Scratch that. A very long line of people. They were waiting for something, weren't they? But what? An absolution? Answers? By a pair of particular trees she had deemed as a landmark, was a sign that read "Muspelheim Gate". This was a gate, but to where?
Her other questions concerning the Crimson Squad had been silenced. New ones arose, and she knew she wanted answers. She just didn't want to have to wait in line. It didn't look like she had a choice. With the same unamused expression she often held, she joined the land person in line and enfolded her arms over her chest. This had better been worth the time.

Quite refreshing, really.
Haruhi's movement caught her attention, and Rukia watched quietly as she picked up an artificial flower. Just where did these things come from? This...Kyoya-senpai must be a remarkable man, then.
She blinked as the younger girl bowed - Rukia was sure she was a girl, from the way she picked the flower and everything - and introduced herself.
Ouran Academy? She'd never heard of that before. Resisting the urge to curtsey - it was one of the little girlish habits she had learned while she was stuck in the mortal world a few months back - she returned the bow; one always needed to have manners in whatever situation.
Sparing a slight smile, Rukia nodded at her. "My name is Kuchiki Rukia." She glanced down at the pure white hilt of her zanpaktou, Sode no Shirayuki, for a fleeting moment then looked back up at Haruhi, mildly puzzled. Why had she thought that this was a fake sword? "This is a real zanpaktou, Fujioka-san. What makes you think that this is false?"
