Are You My Mother? [Active]
Character(s): Kadaj/Daath & Jenova
Content: Kadaj searches for his mother...
Setting: Paixao Central Station.
Time: Monday2 evening, after the interaction in the message boards here.
Warnings: I apologize for the title. Really. >>
Kadaj kept his hood up as he made his way towards the center of Paixao, eyes searching among the blonde-haired, blue-eyed citizens for one person in particular—Jenova. She would be here, somewhere, he just had to find her. He felt a little foolish suddenly—how was he supposed to know it was her, anyway, if he had no recollection of what she looked like?
He paused for a moment and let his gaze sweep the area, uncertain now. She would probably look like him… silver hair and green eyes, something like that. Right? Or possibly there would be other identifying marks…. He growled softly under his breath and started moving again, stalking through the crowds and growing more and more frustrated at the amount of people who didn’t match what he thought his mother would be. There had to be something about her… something that would grab his attention, like the things that the President had said made him do a double-take. Something…
He moved quickly, covering as much ground as possible. It didn’t seem likely that he would be spotted; it was dark now, and a lot of people were in a hurry to board the train or go to their homes, so he should be all right… still, it was best to be wary.
He just hoped he would find her soon.

He turned his head again, still searching. Who was it... and where was Mother?!
That was when he finally spotted her.
A woman with blue skin was pushing her way through the crowd, clearly making her way towards him. Kadaj's eyes widened at the sight of her, taking in every detail of her appearance in an instant. Something about it all resonated within him, and that was when he knew: this was her, his mother... Jenova.
The instant this thought filtered through his mind, he started walking towards her, overcome by the desire to be by her side. The feeling was so strong, so intense, that it eradicated any other thought in his mind other than that of serving her. She deserved so much more than what she had now; the fact that she had to struggle to make her way through the crowd was infuriating to him suddenly. All of these people, these weak, useless people, they were taking away what was rightfully hers. She shouldn't have to lift a finger for them to bow to her will; she was that powerful. He didn't even question how he knew this, simply accepted it and let his fury at everyone and everything grow-- then, abruptly, vanish.
That didn't matter anymore. He would return all of that to her, and more.
His figure stalking towards her was thankfully imposing enough that people got out of the way for him, then for her as he got close enough and stopped in front of her. Looking over her one last time, he dropped to one knee before her and bowed his head, uncaring of how the onlookers would react. They weren't important, especially not when compared to her.
In a soft voice, just loud enough that she could hear, he said, "I've finally found you... Mother."
