Eye for an Eye [closed]

Character(s): The Corinthian, Death, Delirium, Yuki
Content: EATING EIRI'S EYES YAY The Corinthian arrives to Paixao. And stuff.
Setting: Jotunheim
Time: Monday night
Warnings: None... YET

If he had stepped onto the streets of New York, no one would have paid him another look. Tall, but not so tall that he was looked at strangely, with a shock of white hair, but a disarming smile, he would have been an average guy. However, this was not New York and it even wasn't the London he had been intending to go to. The Corinthian, because that was what he was, no 'Jim' or 'Bob' or even 'Reshulandyels' for him, looked around thoughtfully. A finger went to his sunglasses, pushing them up higher on his face, before dropping to his side.

"...I seem to have made a misstep." he said outloud before eyeing the seemingly endless like of people who were standing in front of a... Gate? It looked much like one of those large arches Morpheus kept around his lair, impressive but hardly worth the time it took to construct them - though, Morpheus did have the excuse of being able to just -think- them into existence.

The Corinthian tilted his head to the side, and waited. There was a time when he might have been impatient and instead of waiting tore through the crowd. But they were mostly female, it seemed. Besides the fact that his... appetite would not be fixed by females, there was also an odd nagging feeling. For a brief moment the Corinthian entertained the idea that Morpheus had given him a metaphorical cricket to chirp whenever he was making a 'bad' decision. If he had been too petty and amoral then the Dream King had fixed that.

Though, he was still petty, he thought with a large smile.

The line of people moved slowly, shuffling up to a place where a person with a smile would greet, politely, and offer them a... rectangle. The Corinthian waited patiently, as it wasn't like he had other things to do, not right now, anyway. Finally his turn came and a cheerful girl (blonde) offered him one of those things.

"Welcome to Paixao, can I have your name?"

"...what kind of names do you usually get?" Typically, he wasn't against giving out his name, but it wasn't really a name, more like a title. He was The Corinthian, he was called The Corinthian but that was not what he was named. Lord Morpheus hadn't given him a name, but it might be fun to pretend for a while.

"...uhm, well, sometimes we get names like Bob, or Joe or Hikaru or even more unusual names." She offered with a smaller smile than before.

He smiled at her, with all his mouths, even if she couldn't see two of them. "I see, put me down as a Bob, then." He said jovially and then passed through the gate. Her eyes were rather pretty, but not really his type. Too bad, she seemed nice enough.

A city. There was a city past the Gate, a city that even as he searched his limited memory and that of his predecessor he didn't know the name of. The woman had said 'Paixao', and the name didn't ring any bells either. This was not the Dreaming, because he would have felt that. It had to be the Waking World, but...

"...interesting~" The Corinthian grinned. Oh, he was definitely as petty and easily amused as his predecessor.

Yuki Eiri's brilliant gold eyes narrowed behind opaque shades as he gazed up at the large gates. For all intents and purposes, it looked more like one of those pretentious carnivals than anything, considering the short queue outside and the booths that were just outside said gates.

However, that was not quite as important as the question that was burning in his mind at the moment. Just where the fuck was he?

He had been getting away from a couple of his obsessed female stalkers, and suddenly, poof! Here he was staring like an idiot at a large gate.

Most unbecoming, really.

His mouth was pursed in a thin line as he gazed around. Nothing. No other sign of civilisation save for this strange sort of...place.

What the hell...? The young writer was not predisposed to being in a daze, but this was an exception. The streets of Japan had disappeared, and either he was dreaming, or...well....

He didn't want to think about the alternative.

His bland expression darkening slightly, the young man ran a hand through golden blonde hair, suddenly aware of eyes on him. Of course, said eyes belonged to the women who were standing in line, and he graced them with a brief nod of acknowledgement despite his disorientation.

Deciding to join the queue to find out just where he was and how the hell he was going to get out of here, Yuki waited patiently, sharp eyes taking in every detail of the place.

The domed...place was like nothing he had ever seen before, and the large, empty lands were just unnerving, to say the least.

"Hello sir!" the young blonde chirped amiably when it came to his turn. "Welcome to Paixao!"

What? "What?" Oh, very eloquent, Eiri.

"Paixao," she repeated happily - a little too happily for his comfort. He had never heard of this place in his life, and a strange sense of foreboding crept into the edges of his consciousness. Paixao?

"Is this a theme park of some kind?" He asked sharply.

"Goodness, of course not!" The blonde seemed genuinely surprised at his sudden question. "It's a city!"

City?

This was bad. Very bad.

At Yuki's silence, she continued. "Your name please, sir?"

"Why?"

"We need to record your name. You know, for security purposes."

A short silence, then. "Yuki Eiri."

Looking almost pleased at his response, she nodded charmingly and handed him a brochure and what looked like some kind of tiny laptop.

Some kind of expensive doorgifts they had.

"Here's a brochure, and an electronic journal for your convenience," She said jovially as she waved him in.

Entering the gates, Yuki simply stood there, stunned speechless for the moment. If this was some kind of theme park - or a gimmick - it definitely did not look like one.

What it did look like was some kind of bizarre mix of Victorian era and strange fantasy imageries. Perhaps it was some kind of costume party?

Blinking, he removed his shades slowly, taking in the various sights and sounds. It looked to be entirely real, and the hard pinch on his arm was proof of that.

His gaze, however, was caught on a man not too far away from him, who looked entirely too happy to be here. Strange thing was, how did he manage to see anything when his eyes seemed to be closed?

This was getting stranger and stranger by the minute.

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-12 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yuki watched absently as the stranger took out a swiss army knife from his pocket, and paused, slightly unnerved as the other man turned to face him. Even through the shades the stranger wore, he had the entirely-too-disturbing feeling that the man was staring straight at him.

Through him.

Once again, the strange tingle of apprehension flared within Yuki once again, moreso by the fact that he could not quite see his eyes.

And another thing. Was he talking to himself? Yuki was close enough to hear the words, and it did not make much sense at all.

Well, to him, at least.

Although one thing was certain; when one spoke to himself, chances were that the individual was not sane at all.

Or perhaps he was some kind of ventriloquist, which would probably make more sense. Hell, this was probably some kind of messed up theme park, and the man was probably missing his puppet, or something.

It didn't answer the all-important question of how the hell he managed to get here, of all damned places, but it would do. For now.

Despite the apprehension that tingled through him, Yuki approached the larger man, making sure to keep a safe amount of distance between them in case he really was a lunatic of some kind. "Excuse me, do you work here?"

(no subject)

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-12 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yuki frowned at the other man’s answer; it was frighteningly similar to the way he had ended up here, and he briefly wondered if this was some kind of pocket dimension, or something. As soon as the thought occurred to him, he fought the urge to roll his eyes. He had definitely been reading too much science fiction. There must be some way to explain this. ….whatever this is.

The other man seemed somewhat pleasant, and Yuki relaxed, just a little. From what he could see, the strange man did not seem too affected by his sudden displacement. Well, at least he wasn’t annoying, unlike a few assorted individuals he could think of.

Taking another slow drag of the cigarette, getting his thoughts in order, Yuki finally looked away, a tad bit unsettled despite the man’s outwardly tranquil disposition. Glancing around, he absently noted that almost everyone here were almost all blonde and pale, which disturbed him slightly.

Did they practice inbreeding here?

“It doesn’t bother you…?” Yuki asked evenly, his sharp eyes still scanning his surroundings. For all intents and purposes, Yuki Eiri was not very happy with what he saw. If this was not an elaborate trick, then what was this? Was this really a city, just like what the girl had said earlier?

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-12 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Catching the slight flattening of the smile on the other man's face, Yuki looked him over as he took his time to respond.

Yuki took yet another lazy drag of his cigarette before exhaling a thin stream of smoke through slightly parted lips. The other man was an enigma in himself, and he wondered at the mysteries this particular man seemed to hold within him.

As relatively normal as he looked, the young man instinctively knew that there was something not quite...right about him. Perhaps it was the way he spoke? He couldn't quite put his finger on it yet, but this man was the first person he knew in this strange city, and that meant that he had to play nice. Or at least attempt to get along.

"Not really," he lied easily; no real point telling the other man how off-balance he felt. "What's your name, by the way?"

It was not that Yuki was overly interested; it would just be weird if he had to keep calling him "hey". And as far as things went, it looked like he was going to be hanging around the strange man for a while, at least.

Well. Worse things have happened; he could have been stuck with one of his psychotic stalkers, and it was a small blessing that this man didn't look like he was going to jump his bones, or anything.

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-13 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Jack, huh.

With a simple nod of acknowledgement, the blonde responded evenly, without losing a beat. "Yuki."

Tilting his head slightly, he regarded the other man almost absently. "You're not from Japan, are you?"

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-13 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm from Japan," Yuki affirmed before he glanced over at the man, unconsciously focusing on the dark shades. It was night time here, for fuck's sake, and the reason why the man was wearing shades at this time mystified him.

Yuki himself wore it in the off-chance that he wouldn't be noticed by the hordes of women who seemed to be lapping up his books with unbridled enthusiasm. That particular theory had yet to be proven effective, but hell, that was not the point here.

Was Jack famous, as well? If he was from London....he racked his brain, trying to think of a celebrity with a shock of white hair that went by the name of Jack.

Coming up with none who fit the description, Yuki simply dismissed it. "Well then," he said at length, trying not to scowl at the strange city he had been so unceremoniously deposited into. "What are you going to do now?"

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
It was a safe bet to say that Yuki Eiri was just a little bit disturbed by the sheer size of that smile, and he had the strange, fleeting thought of simply walking away and never think on it again, but the thought was just what it was: fleeting.

Seeing that he was drawing a blank as to the appropriate course of action to take at the moment, Yuki simply acquiesced, but not before giving Jack an odd look. He was a strange one, all right, but he was thankful that he was not annoying, and did not have an infuriatingly grating voice.

"Why not?" He replied blandly. He could definitely do with a drink, and maybe he - they could come up with something over a serious amount of alcohol. He glanced around at the strange buildings, his mouth tightening involuntarily. "Any idea where to find a bar?"

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
His attention drawn back to the device he had been given at the gate earlier, Yuki looked down at his own for a brief moment. "It's some kind of journal, as far as I know."

Looking over at Jack's electronic device, he made a grudging sound of agreement at the other man's last statement. He knew that the city Paixao did not exist anywhere on the map, and entertaining the thought of being sucked through a dimension was just too far-fetched, although he was beginning to believe it.

Somewhat.

"Think there's a map inside?" He continued idly, dropping his cigarette butt to the ground and crushing it under his heel. If everyone had these things here, then it would only be correct to assume that other uses besides being a journal.

Feeling more like a bloody tourist than anything, Yuki flipped open his own journal and started it up, taking a few brief moments to get used to the configurations.

Death knows that making a child wait is a very foolish thing to do, but Del is not exactly a child and this is very important so what she is doing right now should not be too foolish. Well, at least she hopes so. With the queer yet comforting sound of many wings fluttering, Death finds herself standing right in front of the very person, being, she was looking for. While her hand is still holding Del's and her body is facing The Corinthian, her attention is on a smiling face button pinned on the left of her tank-top that she is fiddling with so that it is not tilted. Satisfied, she lets out a gleeful, "there you go!" before looking up at the being standing before her.

"Ahh, Corinthian!" she exclaims as if she had not expected it. "There is a list of things that I need to find for Del, perhaps you can help us?" she asks, then turns toward her little sister so that she would not feel left out, "We need to find a sugar cone, Barnabas, a soft thing and a lord and a lady."

She doubts whether The Corinthian can help or not, but having more familiar faces around is nice, not to mention that she feels the need to keep an eye on this particular creation of her brother's. She just hopes that Del agrees with her on this since a brooding Del might be far worse than a brooding Dream. Of course, she does not forget to throw a smile at Yuki and slipping in a "Hi there, Eiri, nice to see you here," to the man beside The Corinthian.

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-15 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yuki's attention was diverted from his journal to a pale, almost otherworldly beautiful young woman who had come up to them, with the strangest of...individuals in tow.

Brightly coloured and somewhat mismatched, the young man had the strange feeling of...bursting confusion, maybe? Things were just getting stranger and stranger lately, and he was still amazed that he hadn't yet walked away from it all, settle down in a little cafe somewhere, and figure things out for himself.

Nevertheless, he had watched quietly as the taller woman addressed Jack almost genially, and said something about Del and a list of other things that were stranger than the last.

Perhaps the brightly coloured young lady was this...Del?

And speaking of names, why did the dark-haired woman call him Corinthian? Was his full name Jack Corinthian then? Ah, that would probably make more sense.

It was an odd name, but in the midst of all the strangeness that surrounded him at the present moment, it was relatively normal, indeed. His thoughts, however, ground to a halt when the woman said his name. He was no stranger to concept of unfamiliar women knowing his name, but the only ones who used 'Eiri' in such a familiar way were family members - and of course, Tohma.

Ah heck, she was probably another fan of his works. And if she was indeed a fan, this indeed meant that he had not just jumped dimensions and ended up here. It had been a ridiculous notion, dimension-hopping, but it was just like trying not to think about pink elephants. Once it got stuck in your head, it tended to stay there

His gaze immediately fixed on hers, Yuki was silently proud of the fact that despite his shock, not very much of that particular emotion was displayed on his face. "Are you one of my readers?"

[identity profile] callmedidi.livejournal.com 2006-06-16 09:19 am (UTC)(link)
Death tries very hard to stop herself from laughing at Eiri's question but a chuckle escapes her lips so she gives him a sincere smile to, hopefully, counter her laughing. "No, dear, although I would love to be one day," she hopes that he does not feel insulted by her actions.

She then switches her attention to The Corinthian, who has asked her a question, ...is there a specific soft thing you're seeking? And a good day to you, Ladies. She nods as an acknowledgement to his greeting, opening her mouth to reply to him when Del cuts her off by giving the nightmare a description of the soft thing she is looking for, uHm, liKe so bIg and a taiL liKe baRnabaS~

"Uhm, yeah, what Del said," she confirms, sounding more like a twentysomething rather than a billionsomething that she is. She turns to her little sister, "Will you promise you'll go back once you meet soft thing and get sugar cones, dear?" she crouches and looks up at Del again, "please?"

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-17 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
Far from offended, Yuki watched as she addressed Jack and the other one he knew as Del. They made a very strange group, indeed. If she wasn't a fan, she had most probably heard of him. Yes, that was probably it.

His attention, for the moment, was diverted to Del, who had been talking about looking for an array of things. Just what, exactly, was a soft thing who had a tail like Barnabas?

Was he in some kind of twisted treasure hunt?

[identity profile] 1000fish.livejournal.com 2006-06-17 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
She didn't want to go back. There were so many newnew things she could do here. And if Mr. Eyeball was here maybe she could do funfun things. Or maybe he would let her make frogs. It had been a while since she had made frogs, and they were some of her favorite because they hoppitied and everything.

"...oH! misTer miSter!" She changed her attention to Yuki, however, because he was different. Well, not really different in a not-average-way but different because he wasn't like her sister or Mr. Eyeball. "uHm... do yOu liKe chErRy ice crEam or eLephant ice cReam beTter?"

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
What???

Looking down at the little girl, Yuki took a moment to digest this question. Cherry or elephant ice cream? Was she joking?

If someone older had asked him something like that, he would've fired back with an exceedingly acidic response, but this girl didn't seem too old, and, well...

"Cherry ice cream." He really didn't want to think about elephant ice cream. Ever.

As a general rule, Yuki didn't very much like ice-creams. Well, unless they were strawberry. He was rather partial to strawberry shortcake, though...

I must be going insane, he thought numbly. I'm even taking shit like this in stride. Perhaps his brain was broken when he was dumped here, or something.

".....You?"

[identity profile] 1000fish.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Cherry? She liked cherries too. Delirium had to think though, she'd never had elephant ice cream so she didn't know if she liked cherry better. Maybe she should just not answer the question.

"uHm,the chErry stoNes told me i'D be a kAngaroO when i gRow up." She said proudly, and then, "... i liKe bluEbeRry soda."

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
....Okay.

The little girl's last line was so bizarre and unexpected that Yuki gave up hope of ever understanding it. She was just like a Salvador Dali painting; random, surreal and all around incomprehensible.

Not quite knowing how to react to that - for the first time in his life - Yuki simply nodded. The little one's leap in conversation defied gravity, but it was somehow...endearing.

Yeah, his brain really was broken.

"Kangaroos, hm?" he mused, reaching for another cigarette. At this rate he was going to smoke the entire fucking pack before he knew it. "I've never tried blueberry soda before."

[identity profile] 1000fish.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
This was going on rather well, Delirium thought. She wrinkled his nose at his smoking though. Couldn't he make the smoke puffs into something more appealing? Her eyes crossed and she stretched out a hand, finger swirling through the smoke coming from the end of Yuki's cigarette. Just a little thread of smoke, and she started doodling frogs in the air.

Neon pink and violet frogs, to be exact.

"liKe a nicEst laDy i mAde her fRogs." Delirium explained.

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
"You made frogs?" Yuki asked, his eyes meeting her mismatched ones. He tilted his head slightly as he exhaled smoke away from the young girl. He was an asshole, but he was not that much of one to blow smoke directly into kids' faces, as strange as they came.

Second hand smoke and all that shit.

Trying not to wonder about how the talk of kangaroos and soda became lady and frogs, he decided to play along somewhat. Jack was positively sane when compared to this child. "Which lady did you make it for?"

[identity profile] 1000fish.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
"...tHe one at thE plaCe." Delirium said, like 'duh' at Yuki. She stopped playing with the smoke and turned her attention to the ground. It was nice ground, staying all level and not toppling them over. She didn't like it when ground decided to topple things over like all messy and everything. That would be... inconvenient to say the least.

"do yOu knoW a laDy?"

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
"I know plenty of ladies," Yuki murmured, a ghost of a smirk on his lips. "It all depends on which one you're talking about."

As a matter of fact, Yuki Eiri had a different woman in bed every week; so much so that he'd probably lost track of them. Ah, it didn't matter, anyway. The whores all only wanted one thing from him, and vice versa. It was nothing more than an...exchange; that was the way it always worked.

[identity profile] callmedidi.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
...I can try, though I'm new to this place and haven't had any time to figure out where anything is. We were looking for a place to find a drink, any suggestions? Death smiles brightly at The Corinthian, letting go of Del's hand so she can do whatever she wants for the meantime.

"I don't really, but I've found myself a drinking buddy for when I want to drink. I suppose he would know where to find a drink," she answers, then as an afterthought, "his name is Jack, too!" She winks at The Corinthian. She turns her attention to Del and Eiri as they seem to be getting along quite well. Interesting how a man like Eiri could find the patience to actually go along with Del's line of thinking.

I know plenty of ladies, It all depends on which one you're talking about. The smile is still on her face, but now it is subdued and rather sad; she knows what he means. "You both seem to be getting along, and you, Eiri seems to get around quite well, huh?"

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
Oblivious to Jack's plans for his eyes, Yuki turned back to both him and the young woman as he heard his name.

Addressing the young woman with a simple nod, he responded evenly. "She's....interesting. And getting around comes with the territory, I suppose." He paused for a few moments, and quietly realized that she pulled off the Goth look very well, although her seemingly warm and friendly personality contradicted that image a little. ...And was it his imagination, or did she look saddened for a moment there? "I never caught your name."

With a nod at Jack, he simply commented, "Walking to a bar, then?"

[identity profile] callmedidi.livejournal.com 2006-06-18 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
She's....interesting. And getting around comes with the territory, I suppose. Death nods in regard to Eiri's reply, her smile a little brighter as she sees no point in wallowing in sadness; she has had her share of that in the past anyway. Dealing directly with humans for a very long time has its advantages and one of them is that she can guess what is going on behind their minds just by looking at their expressions. While she cannot exactly read minds like Del, her guess is almost always correct.

She lets Eiri check her out while sporting an amused smirk, trying to hold in the chuckles, I never caught your name. He is interesting enough to actually hold a conversation with Del, and he does not seem to be the type to get freaked up over meeting her and scamper for his life. Deciding that there is no need to conceal her identity from this man, Death replies, "I am Death, and this is Delirium," she gestures to her little sister.

Not giving Eiri time to comment on her answer, she quickly turns to The Corinthian, "My drinking buddy is around Niflheim," she says while flipping open her journal and studying the map for a moment. Without looking at The Corinthian, "do you have anywhere you wish to go to? I can see several places where we can get a drink, but I don't know which to choose," then diverting her attention back to the nightmare, "distance is no matter, we don't really have to walk," a wink.

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-19 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
Death and Delirium? Yuki digested that for a moment, the sheer bizarre nature of the names taking him by surprise. Who ever named their child Death? Or Delirium?

A look at the young woman's face clearly said that she was not pulling a fast one on him, and he simply raised an eyebrow. "Your parents must've hated you. They gave you two the strangest names." Bluntness, thy name is Yuki Eiri.

Turning to Jack, who had said something about going off on his way, he murmured with a simple shrug. "Not getting a beer?" It didn't matter to him either way if the taller man chose to leave or stay, but it would have been...well, vaguely acceptable if he had company. At least the man knew how not to get onto his nerves.

But then again, if he had things to do, then it was his business.

Lady Delirium? The honorific attached to that name was surprising, to say the least. If Jack was from London, then was Delirium some kind of...royalty, or something?

And speaking of Delirium, what the hell was a sugar cone? Was there even such a thing?

[identity profile] callmedidi.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
Your parents must've hated you. They gave you two the strangest names, she thought she made it unusually clear to this man as compared to what she tells others, but explaining is not something she has time for at the moment; she needs to get Del back home as quick as possible because this place is giving her the creeps, she lets out a chuckle, "Well, maybe they're just quirky!"

Niflheim, hm? I'll be taking my leave of you all then, to see what I can do about Lady Delirium's lord and lady. Death rather thinks that letting The Corinthian roam about without her brother around as a bad idea. The one standing before her is not exactly the same one who walked the streets of London eating people's eyeballs as snack, and Death finds herself unable to come up with any reason to object to him, "Uhm, sure..." she just hopes that her brother had made a wise decision when he decided to re-create this certain nightmare.

She then turns to her little sister who spoke, ...uHm, can we gEt a suGar coNe in niFlhoMe? Death is not so sure, but she figures that there is bound to be a candy shop around who would be willing to make one sugar cone for her. People tend to recognize her as a long lost friend or relative or even lover, and they like to give her things, so she just hopes that a certain candy shop owner would recognize her as such, "Yes, dear," and even if there is no candy shop around, she is sure that people around here consume sugar and she can make do with what she has, "we'll find a sugar cone, I promise."

[identity profile] 1000fish.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 12:41 pm (UTC)(link)
She clapped her hands together at the affirmative. Sugar cones! She wondered if she could put one in her pocket for later too. Only, she did that with a butterscotch once and it turned into a furry bug with forty-five legs. So maybe not.

"...uHm. oKay. i doN't have any pArents." She said solemnly at Yuki, giving him a rather serious look. Of course this was ruined when Delirium decided to rummage through her pockets to see if the furry bug was still there, only to discover she had no pockets and looked quite perplexed.

[identity profile] yuki-eiri01.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yuki inclined his head ever so slightly as Jack went on his way, then turned his attention back to Delirium, who looked entirely too serious for a little girl.

No parents? That meant that they were orphans, probably? Not one to care overmuch about other's businesses, he watched curiously as the little girl searched herself, and was a tad bit confused as he saw the perplexed expression on her face.

What had she been looking for? A lost toy, perhaps? Calmly, he commented, his expression still carefully bland. "Did you drop something?"

Now that Jack was gone, he had to figure out what to do for the moment. It didn't look like he had very much of a choice right now, as much as he despised that fact. Perhaps he should just go along with the flow, find out more, then get out of this strange place and back to his world.

But for now...
