Eye for an Eye [closed]
Character(s): The Corinthian, Death, Delirium, Yuki
Content:EATING EIRI'S EYES YAY The Corinthian arrives to Paixao. And stuff.
Setting: Jotunheim
Time: Monday night
Warnings: None... YET
If he had stepped onto the streets of New York, no one would have paid him another look. Tall, but not so tall that he was looked at strangely, with a shock of white hair, but a disarming smile, he would have been an average guy. However, this was not New York and it even wasn't the London he had been intending to go to. The Corinthian, because that was what he was, no 'Jim' or 'Bob' or even 'Reshulandyels' for him, looked around thoughtfully. A finger went to his sunglasses, pushing them up higher on his face, before dropping to his side.
"...I seem to have made a misstep." he said outloud before eyeing the seemingly endless like of people who were standing in front of a... Gate? It looked much like one of those large arches Morpheus kept around his lair, impressive but hardly worth the time it took to construct them - though, Morpheus did have the excuse of being able to just -think- them into existence.
The Corinthian tilted his head to the side, and waited. There was a time when he might have been impatient and instead of waiting tore through the crowd. But they were mostly female, it seemed. Besides the fact that his... appetite would not be fixed by females, there was also an odd nagging feeling. For a brief moment the Corinthian entertained the idea that Morpheus had given him a metaphorical cricket to chirp whenever he was making a 'bad' decision. If he had been too petty and amoral then the Dream King had fixed that.
Though, he was still petty, he thought with a large smile.
The line of people moved slowly, shuffling up to a place where a person with a smile would greet, politely, and offer them a... rectangle. The Corinthian waited patiently, as it wasn't like he had other things to do, not right now, anyway. Finally his turn came and a cheerful girl (blonde) offered him one of those things.
"Welcome to Paixao, can I have your name?"
"...what kind of names do you usually get?" Typically, he wasn't against giving out his name, but it wasn't really a name, more like a title. He was The Corinthian, he was called The Corinthian but that was not what he was named. Lord Morpheus hadn't given him a name, but it might be fun to pretend for a while.
"...uhm, well, sometimes we get names like Bob, or Joe or Hikaru or even more unusual names." She offered with a smaller smile than before.
He smiled at her, with all his mouths, even if she couldn't see two of them. "I see, put me down as a Bob, then." He said jovially and then passed through the gate. Her eyes were rather pretty, but not really his type. Too bad, she seemed nice enough.
A city. There was a city past the Gate, a city that even as he searched his limited memory and that of his predecessor he didn't know the name of. The woman had said 'Paixao', and the name didn't ring any bells either. This was not the Dreaming, because he would have felt that. It had to be the Waking World, but...
"...interesting~" The Corinthian grinned. Oh, he was definitely as petty and easily amused as his predecessor.
