Del, Where Are Youuu?? [completed]

Character(s): Death, Delirium and anyone who'd like to join!
Content: Death enters Paixao
Setting: Joutenheim
Time: Monday evening
Warnings: none, not even deaths :P

Unlike most of her siblings, Death is not really one who is into grand or dramatic entrances, preferring to amble casually toward the gates while yawning lazily with one hand covering her mouth. She goes over to the man who seems to be busily writing down things onto a piece of paper. Standing in front of the man, she smiles casually at him and lifts a hand in greeting, "Hi there, may I come through?"

The man looks up slowly and regards her with an unfriendly look which she returns with a wink. The man scoffs and looks back down at his piece of paper while muttering a "what's your name?" under his breath. My, he is definitely going straight to the point but Death does not want to be recognized just yet, it would ruin all the fun. Rubbing her chin with her left hand, she looks around the place for inspiration for a name, not really caring if the man would find it suspicious; he does not seem to be interested in security anyway, he only seems to be interested about getting his name-writing-job done. "That's a pretty tough question, y'know! I got loads of names." She explains to him to buy herself some time. Then coming up with an idea, she snaps her fingers once, "Aha! You can call me Didi!"

With a grunt, the man makes a gesture for her to go through the gate while shoving a metal object into her hand. She walks into the domes after chirping out a 'thanks' to the man guarding the gate, rather glad to have him regard her normally. She has a tendency to scare people, and the fact that she knows why does not help because she cannot change anything. Shrugging at the thought, she puts her hands behind her head and gazes up at the sparkling constellations above her. A subtle smile graces her lips for awhile and who knows what it is that goes through her mind as she looks up at those fake stars? After a few moments, she shakes herself out of her reverie and puts her hands back at her sides.

Looking around her surroundings with the subtle smile still gracing her lips, she looks down on the metal object that she still holds in her hand. With the edges of her lips curving up to form a brighter smile, she flips it open and looks at it as if it were a birthday gift, "Well, well, what do we have here, I wonder?"

Delirium wasn't much for grand entrances either, but sometimes things just... happened. She'd been talking with a Lord and a Lady and been asked about Go. Like Going or going fish or playing Go fish or maybe there hadn't been any fish involved at all. Either way she had been somewhere else before she was here. Maybe she went sideways, which had been very not-so-polite of her, but she hadn't remembered where she'd been before she was going sideways so it seemed rather hard to go back to before she had gone sideways in the first place. Sometimes she thought the world didn't make very much sense.

So that was how Delirium found herself not where she had been before she had gone sideways, confused, but that was a natural state of being for her. Confusion was good, sometimes she wanted to put salt on the rim of confusion and lick it off and have a beer. Margarita. Whtie Russian, she didn't like chess so much, but she really enjoys connect four.

And maybe she wanted to go away again, but then she thought maybe she didn't because her toes were nice and warm and she had gotten a skirt from before she had gone sideways and after. So she had a green skirt and she had a shirt, maybe. Maybe it was a shirt to catch fishies in, and maybe it was indecent but she didn't really care know.

So Delirium had just finished going sideways and she was warming her toes on concrete and giggling at the dirt beneath her skin because it was beneath and not on top and she liked it because it was beneath and warm like a bath or a hot glass of champagne which didn't burn that much.

Really.

Delirium rocked back on her heels, just a bit, fingers fanning out behind her as if this would help keep her steady. A slow smile accompanied her giggles, rolling from one side of her face to the other before she nodded. Yes. Of course. Affirmation. Agreement.

"heLlo!"

She offered her sister a piece of multicolored twine that had a coffeebean on the end. A hand offered meant she should give something and coffee was nice. So was her sister, Death, nice, and kind of like coffee. Like Dream and probably Destiny and all of them they were all dark and light. Except Destruction, she missed him, but he was red and white like her. She didn't always used to be red but then she was and change happened so very quickly when she wasn't paying attention to it.

"...uHm, i weNt aWay fRom thE otHEr plAce. aNd uHm, mEt a loRd."

Yes, of course.

Delirium nodded and rocked on her heels again. The bean was not so lonely now. But Delirium wished it was a bubble because bubbles were fun. Until they popped, then they were messy.

"oH, veRy and thEre was a lAdy thEre too~, sHe wAs cute." She beamed up at Death.

"...i'Ve loSted my doGgy." she said solemnly.

Delirium didn't think Barnabas would be Elsewhere, really. She wasn't sure, however, because sometimes he went Elsewhere when she went Somewhere. Maybe he went away like her brother. She hoped not, she wanted him to be here.

"...uHm, gOod, beCause he miGht be scAred."

She had to look after Barnabas afterall. Destruction had given him to her. She had to make sure he was safe.

"...is anYonE elSe heRe? oR aRe we oNly hEre?"

Delirium let out an exaggerated sigh. This was worse than when the woman who had a half-moon mask had told her to go away. And then she had pointed and everything and then the nice man with the piano had helped her and then. She didn't know. Or maybe none of that had happened yet, it was hard to tell.

"...oH. maYbe we shOuld finD a maZe?"

It would be easiest to find Destiny, of course. Maybe. Except he wasn't very nice sometimes and Delirium hadn't seen any mazes. She hadn't been looking thought. Maybe she should make one.

"one thAt is tuRny and toPply."

That was a very tempting offer. But Delirium had remembered something else she had been looking for. The Soft Thing because they had been together and then they weren't. She hoped he was still around because he was very Soft and she liked Soft.

"...uHm, bUt i wAnt to havE gLue coNes." Delirium protested, a bit, "...and tHe soFt thIng is loSted tOo. and the loRd and laDy neEd and oF..."

There were a lot of things she had to do, and she wanted to be responsible (sometimes) like her brother (sometimes). Though she didn't want to be as dreary as him, because he needed more colors.

That was much better. Now all she had to do was remember where everything was. Glue cones were with that person. She wasn't sure where that was, but maybe if she walked around she could find it. The Soft Thing had gone to the other place ... over there. And the Lord and Lady were back before she went here. It all made perfect sense.

"...ovEr thEre befoRe i caMe hEre was the loRd and the lAdy and beFore that on twO was the soFt thIng. i doN't know where the gLue coNes weNt. mAybe they haVen't hAppened yet."

That was a very tempting offer in deed. Sugar cones were wonderful. She liked the ones that were different colors and melted and were sticky and cold and sweet. And all that sort of thing. And now her sister was offering to get her one! She didn't know if they would be as good as glue cones (or as bad) but it did sound like a fair exchange.

"... caN i hAve bLue and yEllow and puRple?" Delirium asked only for one condition.
