Del, Where Are Youuu?? [completed]
Character(s): Death, Delirium and anyone who'd like to join!
Content: Death enters Paixao
Setting: Joutenheim
Time: Monday evening
Warnings: none, not even deaths :P
Unlike most of her siblings, Death is not really one who is into grand or dramatic entrances, preferring to amble casually toward the gates while yawning lazily with one hand covering her mouth. She goes over to the man who seems to be busily writing down things onto a piece of paper. Standing in front of the man, she smiles casually at him and lifts a hand in greeting, "Hi there, may I come through?"
The man looks up slowly and regards her with an unfriendly look which she returns with a wink. The man scoffs and looks back down at his piece of paper while muttering a "what's your name?" under his breath. My, he is definitely going straight to the point but Death does not want to be recognized just yet, it would ruin all the fun. Rubbing her chin with her left hand, she looks around the place for inspiration for a name, not really caring if the man would find it suspicious; he does not seem to be interested in security anyway, he only seems to be interested about getting his name-writing-job done. "That's a pretty tough question, y'know! I got loads of names." She explains to him to buy herself some time. Then coming up with an idea, she snaps her fingers once, "Aha! You can call me Didi!"
With a grunt, the man makes a gesture for her to go through the gate while shoving a metal object into her hand. She walks into the domes after chirping out a 'thanks' to the man guarding the gate, rather glad to have him regard her normally. She has a tendency to scare people, and the fact that she knows why does not help because she cannot change anything. Shrugging at the thought, she puts her hands behind her head and gazes up at the sparkling constellations above her. A subtle smile graces her lips for awhile and who knows what it is that goes through her mind as she looks up at those fake stars? After a few moments, she shakes herself out of her reverie and puts her hands back at her sides.
Looking around her surroundings with the subtle smile still gracing her lips, she looks down on the metal object that she still holds in her hand. With the edges of her lips curving up to form a brighter smile, she flips it open and looks at it as if it were a birthday gift, "Well, well, what do we have here, I wonder?"

So that was how Delirium found herself not where she had been before she had gone sideways, confused, but that was a natural state of being for her. Confusion was good, sometimes she wanted to put salt on the rim of confusion and lick it off and have a beer. Margarita. Whtie Russian, she didn't like chess so much, but she really enjoys connect four.
And maybe she wanted to go away again, but then she thought maybe she didn't because her toes were nice and warm and she had gotten a skirt from before she had gone sideways and after. So she had a green skirt and she had a shirt, maybe. Maybe it was a shirt to catch fishies in, and maybe it was indecent but she didn't really
careknow. So Delirium had just finished going sideways and she was warming her toes on concrete and giggling at the dirt beneath her skin because it was beneath and not on top and she liked it because it was beneath and warm like a bath or a hot glass of champagne which didn't burn that much.
Really.

With a hop and a turn, Death faces Del with a wide smile and her hands clasped in front of her chest, "Oh, you're here!" Her sister's unclear reason for giggling does not bother her much, and walking over to her sister's side, she offers Del a hand, "how did you end up here, hm?"
no subject
"heLlo!"
She offered her sister a piece of multicolored twine that had a coffeebean on the end. A hand offered meant she should give something and coffee was nice. So was her sister, Death, nice, and kind of like coffee. Like Dream and probably Destiny and all of them they were all dark and light. Except Destruction, she missed him, but he was red and white like her. She didn't always used to be red but then she was and change happened so very quickly when she wasn't paying attention to it.
"...uHm, i weNt aWay fRom thE otHEr plAce. aNd uHm, mEt a loRd."
Yes, of course.

"You met a lord, hm?" Death asks as she starts walking into the city. "Was he nice, Del?" Walking in silence is never nice and it's better to talk about unnecessary things while they explore the city. She has found what she was looking for, but something about this place is intriguing and she just has to see it. Other than that, there was also this man she does not know, which is very strange. She hopes she can find out why without consulting her brother, that would be cool!

"oH, veRy and thEre was a lAdy thEre too~, sHe wAs cute." She beamed up at Death.
"...i'Ve loSted my doGgy." she said solemnly.

She keeps walking on with Del's hand in hers when suddenly Del mutters, ...i'Ve loSted my doGgy. Stopping, Death turns around and regards her sister with a little smile, "Barnabas? Is he in this world, Del?" She asks. Then realizing that her little sister probably is unsure, she gives Del a quick hug and pats on the back before pulling away while still placing her hands on the little girl's shoulders. She offers Del a wider smile, "Don't worry, I'll help you find him!"
no subject
"...uHm, gOod, beCause he miGht be scAred."
She had to look after Barnabas afterall. Destruction had given him to her. She had to make sure he was safe.
"...is anYonE elSe heRe? oR aRe we oNly hEre?"
no subject
Perhaps the reason why Del is so fond of Barnabas is because her favorite brother had given him to her. She just hopes that the others would come here soon to help her find her dog since she is simply not good at finding lost things. Seemingly reading her thoughts, Del asks, ...is anYonE elSe heRe? oR aRe we oNly hEre? That made Death think for a moment.
"Hmm...I'm not sure, really," she puts a finger on her lips but does not stop walking while she ponders. "They should be here in a way, but not in the way we are here, do you get me?" She wonders if she is the one sounding more delirious than her sister, sometimes.
no subject
"...oH. maYbe we shOuld finD a maZe?"
It would be easiest to find Destiny, of course. Maybe. Except he wasn't very nice sometimes and Delirium hadn't seen any mazes. She hadn't been looking thought. Maybe she should make one.
"one thAt is tuRny and toPply."

Something tells her that dragging her sister all around this unfamiliar place might be dangerous and while she does not know what happened to her the last time she changed, Death does not want anything bad happening to her sister. Taking the life out of her own siblings is something she does not even wish to think about, even though it is inevitable, in the end. She offers her little sister a smile, "I'll let you play with Slim and Wandsworth while you wait!"

"...uHm, bUt i wAnt to havE gLue coNes." Delirium protested, a bit, "...and tHe soFt thIng is loSted tOo. and the loRd and laDy neEd and oF..."
There were a lot of things she had to do, and she wanted to be responsible (sometimes) like her brother (sometimes). Though she didn't want to be as dreary as him, because he needed more colors.

"Uhm..." was all that Death could muster as her little sister tries to explain all that she still needs to do in this world. "Well..." she starts, placing a finger on her lips in thought, "why don't you tell me where we should go to get glue cones and find soft thing? I might be able to help the lord and lady as well if you tell me what to do!"
Right after she has finished saying those words, she realizes what a stupid suggestion that is since she would probably find her sister rather hard to decipher.

"...ovEr thEre befoRe i caMe hEre was the loRd and the lAdy and beFore that on twO was the soFt thIng. i doN't know where the gLue coNes weNt. mAybe they haVen't hAppened yet."
no subject
"Hm..." Death mumbles while tucking a stray strand of Del's strawberry-colored hair behind her ear. "I'm not so sure about glue cones but I can surely get you sugar cones," she tries bargaining; there should be an amusement park of somekind in this city. Then smiling at Del as if they have just shared a secret, "and as for the lord and lady and soft thing, why don't we just pop off to where they are, hm?"
no subject
"... caN i hAve bLue and yEllow and puRple?" Delirium asked only for one condition.
no subject
Death takes Del's hand in hers and stands up while still keeping her eyes on her little sister. The smile that she has on at the beginning of the meeting is still plastered on her face, "Let's go find the blue, yellow and purple sugar cones! I feel like a red one, myself," she chuckles briefly at her lame joke. No one seems to realize it when the two of them disappears without a trace, leaving only the mysterious sound of many wings.
