[COMPLETED]
Character(s): Luc, Yuzuriha, Chris, and anyone else who wants to get involved?
Content: Sneak out, only to realize a minor but important detail.
Setting: Morem o Lisboa
Time: Sunday2, Morning(Dawn)
Warnings: noothing yet.
Evening actually did come despite the strange ambience this place gave the ageless wind mage. The room was silent for the most part as the other occupants of the room appeared to have had little trouble falling asleep. He did feel a little envious of that in a way. He almost couldn’t remember when he last had a good night’s rest. But... that was his fault anyway.
The silence was something Luc appreciated at the moment at least. It gave him time to think for himself and the situation. Following the silver ‘journal’ as well, he did learn a few things on his own. Just as Yuzuriha had said, this was a place called ‘Paixao’. It was definitely not his world, and it still made no sense to him on how he got there or why he was even there, unscathed... alive.
As dawn came, it at least helped him accept that he was very much breathing. Night and day would probably not exist to those who defied gods. Such luxury in hell would be unforgivable.
Finally pushing himself off the chair he had dragged by the window of their quarters , he paced silently across the room and left Yuzuriha and Inuki behind. He managed to walk all the way down and out of Morem o Lisboa before coming to a halt a few meters away from the entrance of the inn. He realized... he had no idea where he was going.
“........” Luc ran a gloved hand through his hair, sighing as he looked around. “I guess I should wait for Yuzuriha after all...”

Once satisfied, she exited the inn entirely and began to do couple of watch rounds around the area.
Everything seemed normal for the most part. Of course, there weren't that many people outside causing any trouble to begin with, but it was still better than just tossing and turning in bed. Chris was outside long enough that dawn started to arrive. It would be time to head back to the inn soon. Chris didn't want Yun to wake up and not find her there.
"One last patrol then."

In the early, early morning, she was awoken by Inuki gently nudging at her arm. This was a common way for her to wake up, because Inuki had the handy talent of being able to tell when she was late for school, or if she needed to get up to see something. So she blinked her eyes open, and sat up in her bed. Since it wouldn't be good to sleep in her school uniform, she'd changed into a pair of pajamas provided by the hotel staff.
"Inuki?" she asked, rubbing her eyes. Her spirit dog simply turned his head to the other side of the room, to where Luc would be sleeping. Yuzuriha's gaze followed, and it only took a few moments for her to realize who was missing from the other bed.
"Luc-san..?"
She swung her legs over the side of the bed and rubbed her eyes, still feeling a little drowsy. Inuki hopped off the bed where he'd been sleeping beside her, and sat down to wait as Yuzuriha stretched out her arms. Patiently, he watched her gather her clothes from beside her bag and disappear into the bathroom to change After all, Luc returning while she was changing in the open would be just a little bit embarrassing.
"All right," she said, looking significantly more awake when she emerged from the bathroom. "It's early, but we ought to go see where Luc-san went. Right, Inuki?" And with that, the girl and her dog left the room in search of their new friend.

It was just when he was about to finally give in and return into the Inn when his eyes caught sight of something vaguely familiar. Well... the sound was really what he first heard... a sort of metal clunking. Armor... But that wasn’t so unusual anymore. Then he remembered that most of the citizens here weren’t in that kind of regalia. At least not from what he’s seen so far.
So from ears led to his eyes, and he saw it. A small distance walking down the street, clad in silver, orange, gold, and browns, was undoubtedly Zexen’s Silver Maiden.
“It can’t be...” he muttered to himself as emerald eyes slightly hardened at the familiar silver hair that adorned the head of that woman in uniform.

"Impossible."
Several thoughts raced through Chris' head, along with a mountain of questions. She didn't actually see him die in the ruins, but what were the chances of him surviving through their collapse? She stared at him for a couple of minutes, but it seemed like so much longer.
Wanting to get to the bottom of this, the Zexen Knight cautiously made her way to where Luc was standing, making sure to keep a hand on Ervich's hilt at all times.
"You... what in Saint Loa's name are you doing here?"
no subject
"What's wrong?" Her glance shifted between Inuki and the door, wondering what would make him stop like that. But with a gesture, she continued on towards the front door with Inuki at her heels. She wanted to see what was outside, but she exited the building discreetly and quietly.
Upon seeing Luc right outside, she stopped. A cheerful greeting was on the tip of her tongue, but then she noticed the other person present- an armored young woman with silver hair- and instinctively held her tongue. The woman looked like a knight from a history book, down to the sword she wore at her waist. Not only that, but she was incredibly beautiful.
'Who is she..?'
no subject
Despite his rather calm exterior, Luc could barely suppress the confusion within him. If the Zexen knight was here, then were her companions also around? If this wasn’t hell or whatever other form of after life it was, then it must be some sort of messed up dream.
Absolutely messed up.
Wordlessly, Luc raised his right hand to the side at shoulder height where the insignia of the wind rune glowed dimly through his gloved hand. He owed her no answers... not like he really had any. And this was a good way to make sure that this wasn't just some ploy to mess with his head... may it be caused by lack of sleep... or just this unfamiliar world...
If this really was Chris Lightfellow, then ‘it’ would be with her.
no subject
Chris looked at her right hand and watched as her True Water Rune glowed faintly. She contemplated using it to combat Luc, but it would only cause more destruction. That, and she wasn't entirely sure on how to properly use it yet.
Having a limited number of options, Chris merely stood her ground, drew Ervich, and got into a defensive battle stance before calling out at Luc again. "Answer me! Why are you here? How did you survive the temple?"
no subject
'I have to do something.'
Her mind made up, Yuzuriha darted away from the hotel door and towards the two rune-bearing warriors. She skidded to a stop in between the two of them, facing towards Chris. Inuki stood at her back, facing towards Luc. The spirit dog's stance wasn't openly hostile, but expressed a light warning against trying anything. Yuzuriha, on the other side, seemed more pleading than anything. Even so, her resolve showed in the way she stood.
"I don't know how you know Luc-san, but please.. don't fight here." She looked over her shoulder towards Luc, hoping to express the same sentiment towards him as well. "She's from your world, right? Is there any way we can work something out?"
It was probably wishful thinking, since the two of them didn't look like the best of friends, but Yuzuriha could hope.

He caught the blur of movement that moved past and ahead of him. While his eyes remained focused on Chris, he was quite aware that both Yuzuriha and Inuki were standing between him and the Silver Maiden and watched them in the corner of his eyes.... His brows furrowed deeply as he stood his ground. What the hell was this child thinking?!
“Yuzuriha, get out of the way!” he said to her in an unnaturally calm yet stern tone. “This does not concern you.”
no subject
Could she be a new ally for him? There was no way of telling right now, but it was a possibility. Still, until she knew...
"Please miss, whoever you are, and for your own safety, move aside and get away from here."
Chris had hoped to keep anybody else getting involved in her quarel with Luc. Unfortunately, that was made impossible now with the other girl being there.
Things were becoming more difficult and complicated with each passing moment.
no subject
"I can't, not if you want to start a fight," she said, keeping her voice firm. The other female might be older, but Yuzuriha couldn't let herself be underestimated. If anything, she had to be confident enough to make up for her age.
"Luc-san is my friend, so.. can you please put your sword away?" She didn't look back towards the wind mage, but her statement was also a response to him. Luc was her first friend in this new world, and so it did concern her, no matter what he said.
no subject
He closed his eyes to calm his mind. And then, took a long quiet breath before finally lowering his right hand back to his side.
“Fine...” Luc muttered almost inaudibly.
no subject
Amidst all the recent confusion and frustration, here he was... right in front of her. At that point, Chris would've liked nothing more than to force him to answer her questions about him being alive and his involvement, if any, about her being in Paixao. But gone now was the threat of his rune being used on her, and with it, the danger of the citizens being injured. With these factors removed, there was no longer a reason for Chris to keep her blade raised at him.
"Very well." She said finally, sheathing Ervich though not really satisfied.
Despite Chris' past rivalry with Luc, she was still a knight and it was her duty to behave like one, no matter the situation.
"Though I would still like an explanation from either one of you about all this. Particularly you, if you don't mind." She looked at the black-haired girl. "Yuzuriha... was it? Did I really hear you call Luc your... 'friend'?"
no subject
But now that the danger had passed, she didn't have to think about that.
"Thank you," she said, smiling. She turned around to face Luc so that she could thank him as well. Something must have happened for this woman to be so hostile towards him, but it wasn't Yuzuriha's business to ask. For the time being, she was just glad that he was okay.
"Huh?" She looked back towards Chris as she was being addressed. "Yes, my name's Nekoi Yuzuriha; nice to meet you!" Hostile intentions or not, Yuzuriha still wanted to be polite. "And Luc-san is my friend. My first one in Paixao."
no subject
Luc thought about intervening again and to ‘ask’ Chris not to involve the girl, but unfortunately for him, Yuzuriha had responded to the Silver Maiden’s question. And, he wasn’t exactly sure how the girl came to the understanding that he was her friend when they only met yesterday. But he wasn’t about to question it in front of Chris. Having one woman hostile towards him was enough. Another would have been just plain annoying.
He sighed silently and averted his gaze towards Inuki. He reached down and patted the spirit dog gingerly on the head, all the while, trying his best not to think about how much worse or awkward this situation could develop.
no subject
"If you don't mind my asking, how long have you and Luc known each other?" If Luc didn't want to talk to her, then perhaps Yuzuriha would.
[Poor Yuzu... Chris is so suspicious of her friendship with Luc. D:]
no subject
"We met yesterday, after we both arrived," she replied. The nature of their recent meeting didn't bother her at all, unlike Luc and Chris. "May I ask how you know Luc-san as well?" she asked, glancing between Chris and Luc for any form of introduction. Chris now knew Yuzuriha's name and how she had met Luc, but Yuzuriha still knew nothing of the silver-haired knight.
no subject
He really didn’t want to hear what Chris could possible say. He was aware of what he had done in the past but he didn’t regret any of it, as vile, shameful, and cruel as it had been to the innocent.
To him, it was all necessary.
“... Excuse me.” Luc finally said before making his way past the two women calmly and head towards the street.
no subject
Yuzuriha was a very strange girl indeed. Chris couldn't tell if she was overly trusting of people, or just plain naïve. One day and she was already friends with Luc? The two of them must've had a very interesting and enlightening conversation for that happen.
When he started to leave however, Chris' attention went back to him.
"W-Wait! Where are you going?!" He didn't respond to her though, and continued to walk away from her and the other girl. It didn't seem like he was going to start up any trouble though... so she let him go. For now. With Luc gone, Chris turned towards Yuzuriha again, though not before taking one last look over her shoulder at where he had disappeared to.
"My apologies, I'm still having a hard time adjusting to all of this. And Luc being here is not making it any easier for me..." That last sentence slipped out, but Chris didn't make any effort to correct herself. "We fought against one another in a war recently, that's how we know each other. He was... a dangerous man."
no subject
As Chris apologized to her, Yuzuriha turned back to her with a sympathetic smile. She had been really confused herself, and she could understand how Chris would be a little disoriented. At the statement about their world's war, Yuzuriha's smile faded.
"I'm sorry.. I hope I didn't cause too much trouble by running between you two like that," she said, bowing her head a little. Yuzuriha still didn't think that what she'd done had been wrong, but Chris must have been torn by the decision. "Luc-san didn't talk much about himself, or his world."
no subject
"It's alright. If anything, I'm the one who should be apologizing. I should have restrained myself better." The mere sight of Luc was enough to aggravate After all, he was the one who killed... him. No, there was no point in going back to those thoughts and memories again.
Wanting to get back inside to check on Yun, especially now that she knew that Luc was here, Chris made a suggestion. "Yuzuriha, would you be willing to continue this conversation with me inside? There is something I need to do."
no subject
Her spirit dog had been standing nearby, slightly put-out by Luc wandering off, but he returned to her side when she silently called to him.
"Yes, let's go back inside. It's still early," she said, starting to head back for the hotel lobby with Chris. It felt a little funny, walking alongside such an impressive, pretty knight.. speaking of which!
"Oh, I don't think I ever caught your name.."
no subject
Fortunately for Chris, she wasn't able to see the large dog standing right next to Yuzuriha. Another shock like that wouldn't be very good for her. After all, she still hadn't gotten over yesterday's surprise reunion with Yun and the encounter with Luc just now.
