Oh God Oh God We're All Gonna Die? [Completed]

Character(s): Cid, Roxas, and anyone else who wants to join
Content: Cid and his adopted son Roxas are out getting medicine when Anti attacks.
Setting: The area near Cid's shop.
Time: Saturday Morning
Warnings: Alot of gore, most likely.

Goddamn kids. What did he look like a freakin' babysitter?

Ah-AhCHOO!

Cid glanced down at a sniffling Roxas, who had somehow managed to catch a rather nasty cold since he started working for the pilot four days ago. The old man was unfortunately out of medicine and had to go get some, but Roxas insisted he come along. He'd taken the medicine but it hadn't kicked in yet, and now the two were walking back to the store.

Sighing, Cid put his hand on the boy's shoulder, steadying the young 'uns gait as they continued walking. But as they neared the square that their shop was located, something seemed off.

The streets were usually crowded with people, especially at this hour--while it was early morning, it wasn't an obscene hour... He glanced around, raising an eyebrow as he noticed many of the shops were still marked as closed.

Then he heard the screaming.

He tightened his grip on Roxas's shoulder, pulling him closer and then opening a door to one of the shops. Cid pushed the boy in and stuck his head in the door, whispering fiercely, "Y'keep your skinny ass in here, y'hear? Don't come out until I tell you to, got it?"

(( OOC: Ohohohohohoho.... I think I shall manage. *evil laugh* ))

Olette skidded to a stop, breathing hard. She didn't think she could run another step. 'Man, I wish I were as good at P.E. as Hayner is.' She froze as a door opened and someone peeked out. Somehow, the back of his head looking familiar.... She stifled a gasp as he was pulled back inside. She walked a little closer, careful to step as lightly and quietly as possible.

"Look, kiddo,"

She could just barely hear what the man was saying.

"I know I'm fulla shit sometimes, but trust me on this one, a'right? Find a place to hide, y'hear? I'll come back in a bit." Indeed, the man left immediately, shutting the door behind him. Olette watched silently as he snuck forwards, and almost let out a scream herself as another scream tore through the air. It couldn't have come from anyone but a child, and Olette's stomach felt as though it had suddenly twisted into a knot. On second thought, she didn't want to see what was around that corner; judging by the man's reaction, it wasn't pleasant.

It suddenly occured to her that she was out in the open. She hurried over to the door the man had left from as quietly and quickly as possible, opened it, slipped in, and shut it behind her. Her heart was still pounding from the run, and she was still breathing hard as she leaned back against the door and closed her eyes, completely forgetting to look around the room.

Cid took one last, long glace at the boy, then patted his cheek gently before getting back up. "Find a place to hide, y'hear? I'll come back in a bit."

He was gone before Roxas could answer. Roxas was fully awake now - surprise and fear tended to do that to people. He didn't want Mr. Cid to go. If it wasn't safe for Roxas it wouldn't be save for him either. But the door closed and there was nothing he could do. Mr. Cid was serious about staying inside and Roxas intended to listen.

He looked around the shop. It was a shoe store. There wasn't really anywhere to hide in the immediate area. He walked away from the door and the big window with the screen pulled down. He figured that no one could tell he was in there because of that but if things were as dangerous as Mr. Cid made them seem, Roxas wasn't going to take the chance.

Roxas walked behind the cashier's counter and ducked down. He heard screaming from outside and shuddered. Then the door opened and closed. For a moment he panicked until he realized it was probably just Cid. He looked over the counter - still cautious.

"Wh-who are you-" He stopped and his eyes widened. "Olette? Is... is that really you?"
