Oh God Oh God We're All Gonna Die? [Completed]
Character(s): Cid, Roxas, and anyone else who wants to join
Content: Cid andhis adopted son Roxas are out getting medicine when Anti attacks.
Setting: The area near Cid's shop.
Time: Saturday Morning
Warnings: Alot of gore, most likely.
Goddamn kids. What did he look like a freakin' babysitter?
Ah-AhCHOO!
Cid glanced down at a sniffling Roxas, who had somehow managed to catch a rather nasty cold since he started working for the pilot four days ago. The old man was unfortunately out of medicine and had to go get some, but Roxas insisted he come along. He'd taken the medicine but it hadn't kicked in yet, and now the two were walking back to the store.
Sighing, Cid put his hand on the boy's shoulder, steadying the young 'uns gait as they continued walking. But as they neared the square that their shop was located, something seemed off.
The streets were usually crowded with people, especially at this hour--while it was early morning, it wasn't an obscene hour... He glanced around, raising an eyebrow as he noticed many of the shops were still marked as closed.
Then he heard the screaming.
He tightened his grip on Roxas's shoulder, pulling him closer and then opening a door to one of the shops. Cid pushed the boy in and stuck his head in the door, whispering fiercely, "Y'keep your skinny ass in here, y'hear? Don't come out until I tell you to, got it?"

no subject
He noticed Mr. Cid looking around. "What's wrong Mr. Cid-" he began to ask but was cut off.
Mr. Cid pulled him roughly into a nearby shop. "Y'keep your skinny ass in here, y'hear? Don't come out until I tell you to, got it?"
He pushed his head out past Mr. Cid and looked out on to the square. "What's going on, Mr. Cid?" he asked. "What was that?"
no subject
"Look, kiddo," he said softly, glancing over his shoulder to make sure the street was still empty. "I know I'm fulla shit sometimes, but trust me on this one, a'right?" Cid took one last, long glace at the boy, then patted his cheek gently before getting back up. "Find a place to hide, y'hear? I'll come back in a bit."
The pilot shut the door behind him and jogged in the direction of the square, slowing and pressing himself against the wall as he drew closer. He clenched his teeth, grinding them together as he heard another scream tear through the morning air.
A child. And from the sound of it, the poor thing couldn't be more than 5 years old. He drew in a deep breath and held it for a moment, preparing himself for what he might see when he turned to look into the square. Moving the last few inches towards the end of the building, he slowly peeked his head around the corner and...
Oh Jesus, Mary and Joseph. He could see it. He could see everything.
There were bodies strewn about all across the courtyard and blood spilled everywhere. He could hear scattered cries of those who'd not been injured badly enough to die immediately.
Lord, don't make him have to be some sort of Angel of Mercy and have to finish them off.
He glanced around the square, trying to keep his eyes off the ground as much as he possibly could. Who on earth could have done--
There. His eyes fell on a figure on the other side of the square, holding a small child in his hands. It was the source of the scream, and was soon silenced as the murderer ripped his hand through the child's midsection and ripped out his innards.
Cid whipped back against the wall, holding his breath and squeezing his eyes closed... that image... that horrifying image burned into his mind for God knows how long. He let the air out of his lungs slowly, fighting hard not to become sick. He had to get back to Roxas.
The old man peeked around the building once more, his eyes finding the figure quickly. It hadn't moved from its spot, staring down at the child it had just murdered as though it were nothing.
It lifted its head and took one more glance around the courtyard, turning in Cid's direction but not spotting the pilot. Cid squinted his eyes, trying to get a look at his face.
S-Sora?!
