Things that go bump in the dark? [active]
Character(s): The Prince, Auron
Content: The Prince and Auron get off the train in the center of Paixao and wander around a bit.
Setting: Paixao Central Station, J6
Time: Friday Evening
Warnings: None.
Look! A person! Wait, they were gone already... Look, another person! A building! A sign! A trash can! A fake plant! A person again! The Prince pressed his face against the train's window like an eager puppy, trying his best to see everything. It had to be the most exciting train ride The Prince had ever had. Never mind that it was the only train ride he had ever had.
Auron and The Prince got off at the central station. The Prince was a little sad to leave the train, but the bustlings of the central station more than made up for it. There was just so much to look at! It was getting a tad bit cramped though, and The Prince found he could breathe easier once they had made their way outside it.
"Oh, look Mr. Auron! It's getting darker!" The Prince said, looking up to the 'sky' on the ceiling of the domes, "The Prince likes the dark-time, except when there are monsters under his bed that want to bite off his toes and eat him! And, and..." Now The Prince had begun to shake and slid closer to Auron until he could reach out his hand and grasp the man's coat.
"The Prince thinks that he doesn't like the dark-time anymore."

Auron looked down at the Prince as he clung to his coat. For a moment he was worried that he'd loose the child amidst the busy station, but now that didn't seem like it would happen. Gently he patted the top of the Prince's head, looking solemn.
"No need to fear, Prince." He adjusted his sword as if to bring notice the the weapon and that he was prepared to use it. "Nothing will hurt you so long as I'm around." Any other person might have soothed with the realization that there were no such things as monsters, but having fought fiends and Sin alike, Auron knew full well that there were. Maybe not the kind from a child's nightmare, but they were monsters all the same. "Didn't I ever tell you that I'm a Guardian?"

When Auron said he was a guardian, The Prince wracked his brain for any previous mention of it. He couldn't remember any at all. Well, The Prince knew that the best way to learn something was to ask, and so he did. "What's a guardian, Mr. Auron?"
[ooc: It's ok, really!]
