Character(s): Rinzler and Jade
Content: An unlikely meeting
Setting: One of Paixao's bars
Time: Late Afternoon
Warnings: None at the moment
It was odd, to think that he'd spent so long in the User world. If this was what Clu had wanted so badly than he could have it. Rinzler had yet to see anything here that would be at all useful. Only things that barely made any sense at all and things even he had trouble processing into an semblance of sense. Why the Users ever allowed something so ill-defined to run unchecked was something he was sure he'd never understand. But he couldn't do anything about either. One program wasn't going to get anywhere here. If he'd had any of the Black Guard things might have been different, but that was out of the question. For now, he'd simply done his best to categorize the maddeningly confusing world that had been laid in front of him.
Of course, even that couldn't occupy him forever. There wasn't really anything quite like the sorts of energy he was used to in the User world, but he'd settled himself into one of the closest things he'd found to Zuse's domain and if he looked particularly out of place it wasn't something he was concerned about.

"Look, I don't want trouble, it's just the Mayor --"
" -- decreed that anyone not fitting his absurd dress code would be denied service. As you can see, hardly an inch of scandalous flesh is shown in my outfit. Unless you want me to cover my face now as well?"
Some of the other patrons in the bar were shifting uncomfortably, attempting to ignore the conflict.

"It won't help," he spoke up, in his grating rasp of a voice. He sometimes had problems even with his face covered.

"I just want a drink and then I'll be on my way, I assure you. If it's trouble you'd like to avoid, perhaps arguing with your patrons isn't the way to go about it?" Without waiting for further invitation, Jade sat down next to Rinzler, making himself comfortable.
Knowing that further struggle would disrupt things even more, the owner of the bar finally gave in with a miserable mutter and went about fixing Jade a drink.

Yet neither could he be said to be silent either. Not with the low, grating rumble that followed him wherever he went.

"I'm surprised they let you in," he said mildly, glancing sidelong at Rinzler.
no subject
"Persistence," Rinzler answered after another moment or so of silence. It wasn't exactly like there were a lot of other places he could go, so he'd simply kept at it until at last they hadn't had a choice but to let him in.

"I'm Colonel Jade Curtiss. You are?"
no subject
"Rinzler."
