Kindness from a stranger... [completed]
Character(s): Asuka and Howl
Content: Asuka waking up... and Howl being charming
Setting: Haja O Que Houver
Time: Saturday afternoon
Warnings:Confessions from the heart and Howl's charming-ness none yet x)
Asuka was never one to stay in one position when sleeping, and it was actually rather smart of Howl to choose the couch instead of sharing the bed with her since he would have woken up on the hard floor with a bruise somewhere if he did. She had a pillow below her head in the first hour of sleep she got, but the pillow is now somewhere on the floor while her head is near the foot of the bed, leaning on the wooden frame with her right leg already off of the bed. Calling out to her mother as she has done numerous times in her sleep, she rolls her body around, accidentally hitting her injured hand against the foot of the bed.
She lets out a gasp and sits up instantly while cradling her arm and wincing while muttering a string of curses directed to nothing in particular. Massaging her arm gently to soothe the piercing pain, she suddenly realizes that she is the only person on the bed. She spins her head around quickly to look for him because despite the fact that she will never admit it, she is scared that she would be left behind alone. The action proves to be too much for her current condition however, and the room suddenly spins in all directions. Dropping back to the bed, she clutches at the sheets in order to balance herself as the bed seems like it wants to get rid of her.
When the room stops spinning so quickly, Asuka reaches for her journal that she placed on the bedside table while trying to not move her head at all. She looks around the network for awhile, updating her journal as well as commenting on some other journals before realizing that posting to the Message Board is probably the best way to find a job. Typing up a request for a job, she rather regrets not having anything with her except for her plugsuit as it would be hard to prove hr qualifications with nothing. She posts the request up anyway and replies to some of the comments posted by others while chatting with a Seta Soujirou who claimed to be from Japan also but turns out to be some historical person from the Medieval Era of Japan.
Knowing that she cannot lie down on the bed forever, she slowly sits up so that her head would not spin anymore. Suddenly, she sees Howl sleeping soundly on the couch with his bangs over his face. Asuka slips off the bed silently, editing the entry on her journal before posting it. She walks slowly over to Howl, unsure of what to do, "H-Howl?" she whispers in disbelief. He is probably still sleeping and unable to listen to her, but she kneels in front of him and looks at him like a child who was given the most expensive toy in the world by a total stranger. "B-but why?"
