The warm water washing over her feet feels pleasant, but she lets out a muffled yelp when the water touches her wounds, which is not as pleasant. She gingerly puts her injured hand into the water, nonetheless, feeling the prickling pain subside to dull throbbing in a few moments. With that settled, she leans back and stares at the ceiling once more, this time noticing subtle molds forming on the white surface. I kinda miss the idiot.
Absentmindedly, she takes the bottle of placed on the counter beside the bathtub and pours the contents on the water. Her wounds start stinging again but she keeps her eyes on the ceiling and ignores it. She reaches the knob with her foot and turns off the flowing water; silence dropping over the room abruptly with only the subtle sounds of rippling water echoing on the walls. Still preoccupied with the ceiling, she starts scrubbing herself, taking care not to reopen the wounds even if some seemed to have reopened, judging from the pain.
When her neck is cramped already she turns her head to the door, wondering what Howl could be doing behind it. She wonders for how long she would want to tag along with the man before running away from him like she did with her previous companions. I'll tag along until I find Baka or Misato or Hikari, if I ever would.
She turns her attention back to the bathtub, which is now filled with reddish-water because of her wounds. Snorting in disgust and annoyance, she steps out and drains it, glad that there is no stain left on the white ceramic. Asuka steps into the shower and starts rinsing herself off, while thinking back on many things that are still unclear in her mind. How she got to this place, what happened beforehand, where her wounds are from, they are all just jumbled mass of questions without answers until she finally comes to the most important question of all. She peeks her head out of the shower and shouts to Howl through the door, "Hey Howl, do you happen to have any extra clothes I can borrow?"
