Hojo scowled in irritation as the others made their way into the hotel lobby. He was just as exhausted as the rest of them were. Maybe he could convince that annoying lawyer to bother him with questions after he'd had a decent night's sleep? It should be easier than dealing with that swordsman, anyway.
He WAS still somewhat brooding, turning the events of the night over in that exceedingly active mind of his. Why had he changed? He hadn't done any experiments on himself; there should be no REASON for such a transformation to occur. Not to mention the manner of the transformation still deeply disturbed him... the complete inhumanity of it, the lack of any discernable coherency or intelligence shook Hojo more than any physical change had the capacity to.
The scientist shook his head, not wanting to dwell on the matter any longer than necessary. He didn't have the proper means to figure anything out at the moment; speculation was useless unless you could figure out whether or not you were right.
"Are we done, then?" he asked, sounding decidedly less impatient than he had intended, coming off instead as simply weary. Which, well, was true, but it wasn't an impression he liked to present.
