Re: Meanwhile, In Oblivion's Highest Hallway...

He paused only a moment to grab his journal from the floor, which he hastily stashed in his scarf, then he quickly followed after his father, very happy to leave the dungeon. He stopped again for a moment Rosenqueen's to grab a few items from the shopkeeper, before going to the door that stood behind his own throne. He glanced around only a moment... hopefully it wouldn't be too long before he once more stood in his own real throne room.

Hurrying through the door, and into the white hallway, Laharl used the orb, finding he was indeed able to transport higher than ever before.

He was about to follow his father down the hallway to the door of the new floor... but paused, as a sound caught his sharp hearing. It was... familiar. Was that...? "Hang on, Old Man," Laharl called down the hallway, going to the door, pressing his ear to the door. The cries were now recognizable. Laharl's guess had been right.

So, he was still here, huh?

On the one hand, Laharl could just leave him there. It's not like Timon would ever know that Laharl knew he was there, crying at the door. Hell, it could be doing the idiot a favour. Who knew what dangers they might be about to face?

But on the other hand...

The meerkat was the only one who'd been here as long as he had. Hell, he was the first Laharl had met when he'd ended up here. And now they could be heading to the end of this... maybe he deserved to be there for it.

Laharl stared at the door, hand pressed against it. After a moment, he sighed. Dammit, he'd gotten soft.

Slowly he pushed the heavy door open. Leaning against the frame, he crossed his arms, staring down.

"Heh. Anything, huh?"
