CONTENT A new horrible arrival
SETTING Muspelheim, though she will be wandering over to the camp also!
TIME Evening
WARNINGS Possible violence and trash-talking. Pun intended.
There was a large blast of energy as one of the locals went flying, skidding to a stop some distance away. A figure clad in gold began to walk over towards the battered form of a girl, stopping once she loomed above the fallen. The woman leaned over, grasping onto the collar of her prey, lifting her up, and off of her feet.
"I will ask once more, and you will tell me." The girl's eyes widened in fear, knowing from experience now that this new arrival wasn't kidding. "What is the name of this star." It wasn't so much a question as it was a command.
"I... I don't know what you're talking about!" cried the girl, trying to pry the woman's grip loose from around her clothing. "Th- this is Paixao! S-surely you were told that already!" she was panicking, eyeing the journal that the woman held. "Th-there! That will tell you more!"
Glancing down towards the device she was handed, by a different local she had promptly disposed of like proper trash, her cold eyes moved back up towards her captive. In a flash, the girl's body began to glow, then evaporate into dust with a howling scream.
"Lying, useless garbage. There is no such star as Paixao in the galaxy." Tucking the device away, which could prove useful later, she dusted her hands off and began to walk, large eyes filled with fear following her every step.

"Oi! Don't you realize the locals are already having a problem with us? Don't you go making it worse!" She yelled out with obvious distaste, a glint of the fearless soldier she had been created to be reflecting from her eyes. With her blonde hair and blue eyes, Jenny had been trying to take as much advantage of being able to blend in with the people here as she could manage, not that it seemed to work considering her clothes were still foreign. She would have to remedy that. Still, she had been attempting to do rounds around what was left of the city and had been specifically passing by the gates in case of a new arrival. This however, had not been something she had expected to find.

"Problems?" there was a hint of amusement in her voice, "Is that so. All the more reason to crush them, then."

Not a single one of her muscles moved as they prepared themselves for action at any moment. She wouldn't make rash movements. She wouldn't use up energy before she needed it. She would think it through and react according to the situation, but as long as the newcomer didn't attack her, or anyone else, she would keep to talking.
"You should leave the city. It would be for the best. There are plenty of other places to go around here, so leaving these people alone shouldn't be that hard. Besides, it's not right to attack people that can't properly defend themselves. If anything, it's cowardly."

(And most fourteen year old girls, judging by canon, would've jumped in by now.)Most fourteen year old boys aren't combat-tested ranking officers in an interdimensional paramilitary police force.
That said, however, Chrono did not immediately step forward; the apparently unarmed woman seemed to have things in hand, at least for the moment. He did step into position a few yards behind Jenny, though, with a shielding spell at the ready but uncast, because letting an unarmed woman get herself killed because she didn't know what she was getting into seemed like a pretty unchivalrous thing to do, whether she had the thousand-yard stare this one did or not.
sorry for the delay, guys! free time, what is it???
Leaving was probably on her list of things to do. Heck, it was probably close to the top. But she couldn't let on that somehow she hadn't come here of her own will. "Why don't we see what a coward is capable of, then?" the knuckles of her hand cracked into place as she balled a fist tightly in the air between the two of them.
There was movement in the crowd that didn't go unnoticed -- unless something else provoked her, she was perfectly content on venting some of her frustrations on the girl alone.
It is perfectly okay! It happens to all of us.
Free time? Isn't that some kind of vegetable?
Unfortunately, standoffs had a tendency to lead into fights, in Chrono's experience. The last thing this place needed was more fireworks.
"I think you need to take this fight elsewhere. There are wounded civilians here," he said, glancing toward the scant remains of the most recent victim and the still-living locals, now doing their best to hide behind what little cover was available. "And I'm going to need to have a few words with you about what you just did to that girl." Killing with magic was unnatural, and this woman seemed to have no compunctions against it whatsoever. Just being near her made his skin crawl.
the most elusive kind, no doubt
