Meet the fake Overlord [Closed/Active]
Character(s): Riku and Mao... yep, totally Mao, not Yuuri.
Content: "Mao"'s been acting kinda weird lately and Riku wants to talk.
Setting: Just outside Niflheim's gate.
Time: Not long after this.
Warnings: Possible violence.Honestly... with her? Could go any way.
There was one downside to Yuuri's shape shifting trick; once she was transformed into someone else, she was unable to use any other magic unless she morphed back. It usually wasn't much of a problem since she mostly used it to blend in or to trick people... but she was headed into something that could very well devolve into a fight. Not good. On top of that, she was the one being called out for, she wasn't leading this fight, that boy was. Not good, not good at all. She couldn't booby trap the place or create an ambush, she was the one stuck to defend herself... in a body were she couldn't attack unless she revealed herself.
The worst part was that she hadn't even realized what she had accepted. Normally, she would have refused, or she would have argued her terms but no... she simply went along with it. And, it didn't even cross her mind to think otherwise.
Her soul gem was getting darker... and her judgment was starting to fade without her even noticing...
But for her, it didn't matter. She had to make the best out of this situation and she had to do it fast. They were supposed to meet outside Niflheim, so she left for the fields... by another gate. She circled around the dome, setting up explosive traps as she got nearer to the meeting place. She couldn't attack him directly, but if push came to shove, she could simply lead him in her traps, running away in the process.
And if things really went sour... well, screw the disguise; Cole would destroy him fast enough... unless he could have other uses.
As she arrived closer to the gate, she morphed back into Mao's form after setting up her final magic circle. It was just in time too; she didn't have to walk too far after that to notice the other boy.
"What do you want now? I'm busy here! Make it snappy!"
