Timon followed the demon’s gaze down at the table. Just the thought of the Organization’s experiments had been enough to make him sick. He was certain his friends had returned home. He had to be. To think they too could fall subject to their ‘studies’ was more than the meerkat could bear. As if to erase the thought, Timon quickly shook his head.
“No!” he abruptly shouted. Having immediately realized the volume of his voice, the meerkat leaned in closer to Krichevskoy. “No.” He repeated, spoken softly the second time. “Other than that mook over the message board, they’ve been keeping quiet. Way too quiet. Believe me, you ain’t the only guy wondering ‘bout them.”
