For Absent Friends [Active]
Character(s): Kiara and Timon
Content: Lions. They're no longer everywhere.
Setting: The park.
Time: Evening
Warnings: None
At one time there had been six lions in the city; now there was but one. That left five lions missing. Sure, the first two didn’t really count. He’d never been particularly fond of Scar and Zira. One could only begin to wonder why… And Mufassa, he had always left Timon on edge. Knowing that the great king had been Simba’s father had made him feel nervous. More times than he’d found himself looking to compete against the lion for Simba’s attention. It felt foolish now, however he would not have put it past himself to act the same should the king return to the city. As for Kovu, well he had been the most important thing in Kiara’s life. That lioness was the closest one to the most important thing in his life.
Timon dangled his feet over the edge of structures slide and hummed to himself in thought. He could recall the time he had played with a few of the citizens children at the park. Days of hunting bugs and playing tag with a young Simba came to mind, momentarily relieving the meerkat of the miserable thoughts that still lingered in his head - except for maybe that of bobbing from snapping turtles. He wondered what Simba had done with Kiara growing up. Bugs had never seemed to click but surely bowling for buzzards or bullfrog volleyball had.
The meerkat swung his feet idly, looking forward to the arrival of the lioness in question.
