The fire around Mao's hand dissipated, much to the demon's annoyance. Damn. None of them had come close enough for him to get Blast Finger off all the way. At least he had been able to get one hand free. A flash of light from his peripheral vision alerted him to the guns' resummoning, and Mao quickly looked around for the bull. He could probably take one of them out like this, but not both at once, especially if the girl was going to be a ranged fighter in this situation (and dammit, why couldn't anyone in this place have status screens for him to study?!).

"I'm fine!" Mao growled, and pulled out his sword, bringing it up to block against the arrow's assault. He just needed an opening to free his other hand. "I told you before, I'm a demon!"
