It would have been a lie to say that things had changed since Balthier had returned to their own world. Odd as their partnership had been, she found herself missing him, almost. How the years did change a person. Still, she supposed that she didn't begrudge him the chance to fly again (even if she did wish she could take to the skies again). But someone would need to remain here to explain when his wings again brought him to the gates of a city he'd never seen before. A jeweled city really was the cache he'd try to find again someday.

So for now she'd decided she might as well spend time visiting the gates on occasion. Newcomers were more than easy enough to spot, and after careful consideration she stepped over to the blond who seemed to be rather lost in his journal.
