As soon as she'd figured out something was wrong, Xion opened a dark corridor and went to find Hope. But when she got there, she didn't see Hope.

There was the possibility he'd run off, of course- or that he just hadn't been where she thought he would be in the first place. But something about this, especially this creature in front of her, felt very, very wrong.
