She scoffed, leaning back in her chair as she rolled her dark eyes at his scolding about biting. Silly man, what was done was already done, it was a moment written in time and she’d be rather damned if he tried to get out of it. After all, how often could the woman really say that her lips had been close enough to even brush his skin — let alone her teeth? She was almost appalled that he didn’t share the exciting views on biting with her, but letting it slide, Idris offered the man a soft shrug.
“Well, it’s already happened. I can’t change that now, silly thief.” Nor did she want to. Now now, hold on a moment here — the ship turned human’s gears were grinding and something suddenly occurred to her, “and it is no more unhygienic than that kissing thing you’ve done with a variety of humans and non-humans alike!”
Her lips tugged into a smile and she did her best to stifle her laughter rumbling in her throat at his attempt to appear to be almost majestic fell short from the chewing on their shared biscuit snack.
“Yes Doctor, if that’s what you think. It may well not be true, but who am I to keep you from what comforts your mind?” Ah, the smirking that followed her sentence.
