i've got a factory of faith. [ active ]
Character(s): Lightning and Fang.
Content: Fang awaits Light's return, wondering where that pink haired girl got off too without her noticing...
Setting: The packed apartment. |D
Time: Early evening? After Light's not!date.
Warnings: Merciless teasing.
Waiting around certainly wasn't Fang's style, but since having returned to the apartment after her excursion with Hope... there wasn't really much else she could do. She needed to touch base with Lightning, discuss this business about the make up of time in this place. She was certain that Vanille was off doing her thing somewhere, and while she knew that the redhead was all right from her recent communication over the electronic devices... there was still a part of her that worried. She would probably always worry, unless the other girl was in plain sight. But still, returning to the almost alarmingly... empty apartment took her by surprise. With all of the people staying here, she would have thought that one or two would be kicking around, but instead she found herself alone.
She paced from the window, to the kitchen, to the door, and finally... reserved herself to sprawling out on the couch, her feet up on the coffee table, as she crossed them at the heel. "Wonder where Light could've gone off to..."

Grabbing a glass of water, she moved back into the entryway, raising an eyebrow when she noticed Fang sitting - or lying, rather, as she seemed to be taking up a lot of the space in that area - on the couch.
"What are you doing here?"

"Waitin' for all the kids to get home, looks like," she replied, leaning forward in order to study Light's expression with renewed interest. "Have a good time?"
no subject
"Thought you'd be out today."
Lightning's eyes narrowed just a bit.
"Terra and I were sparring. We both needed the practice."
Which meant, yes, she'd had a good time, but damnit she didn't want to talk about that.

One of Lightning's eyebrows arched upwards. "I was practicing alone and then he turned up. It wasn't planned." Not planned in the least. Lightning had just thought it would be a better use of their time to practice together rather than alone.

Lightning stared at Fang's back as the other woman's words sunk in. "What are you talking about-"
Oh come on, she wasn't seriously-
"We're friends, Fang. That's it. He's helped me before, so I knew I could trust him."

Damnit, Fang, just let it go! It wasn't a big deal at all to Lightning, so she didn't understand why Fang had to go make a huge problem of it.

And then the rest of Fang's implications hit Lightning and she scowled. "He's just a friend, Fang. This isn't like Snow fawning over Serah." Lightning Farron didn't fawn over anybody!

"Well, everyone's gotta start somewhere, right?" she grinned, "I'll have to sit down with him myself. Make sure his intentions are just the same as yours are..." And though she didn't turn to look at Lighting straight-on, from the corner of her eye she searched for a reaction.

"My intentions are to find people who can help us," Lightning snapped, finally turning away and heading back into the living area. She was already tired of this conversation and her nerves were at the breaking point.

And it seemed that finally hit Lightning's last nerve. Standing by the table, she wheeled around, hooked her hands under it and flipped it. The thing crashed to the floor in front of her and she folded her arms in front of her chest. She didn't need this. Not now.
