He could… What? Did she say fly? No, she couldn’t have. That was ridiculous. Maybe that was some sort of bitter joke. Though, the longer Timon waited for her to explain what she really had in mind the more serious he began to realize she was. He found himself just about cross eyed following the accusing finger she had pointed at him. The meerkat shook his head and raised his paws in defence, only to have the branches he had been holding snap back and slap him in the face. This was turning out to be a terrible day and it had yet to have even really started.
Crying out in pain, Timon bent the branches back once again once he had recovered. “What do you mean fly? In case you hadn’t noticed, meerkats don’t fly. Do you see any feathers here? No. If I were meant to fly, I’d have wings in the first place. I’ll take you where you need to go but it’ll be my way and that way is by foot. Absolutely no flying.”
