As the two took off, Elena flashed Tseng another alarmed look. She wasn’t sure whether to follow the duo or stay here. Or, honestly, who the newcomer had been and why everyone was thrown so off guard by him. She glanced back at the retreating Rude and the (now) barely-visible Reno, and then at Tseng again.

She lowered one hand to the handle of the gun at her side as she watched her boss for a reaction, staying on her toes in case he suddenly took off, too.
