Blinking once as Tseng's last comment sunk in, Elena looked around and found that Tseng was, in fact, quite correct. Reno was nowhere to be found. But after what the redhead had put her through the following day, Elena was still a little bitter. That and her combination of relief at seeing Tseng again kept her from caring too much. Besides, she reasoned, her coworker could take careful of himself. He always did, no matter how much trouble he would get himself into.
“He must have gotten lost...” remarked the blond, not exactly sure whether she should blow it off or be extremely concerned. It wasn’t that she didn’t care, but she was sure that Reno would be fine on his own. And she didn’t want to waste her time with Tseng worrying about that frustrating guy.
So Elena, stifling her slight shivers, simply looked at Tseng and waited for some kind of cue. After all, she didn’t want to react the wrong way in front of her boss!
