Scouting Missions are fun

Characters: Zira [Open]
Content:  A lioness checking out the area
Setting: Pride Lands
Time: Week 32, beginning of the week during the day
Warnings: It’s Zira, so violence is expected?

Zira moved through the tall grass as if she had done it many times before. In fact, she had. There wasn't a blade of grass or even a stone she didn't recognize of the Pride Lands. To some extent that pleased her, but it also brought up harsh memories of what happened after Scar's death.

Everything that brute Simba did to her. It just fueled her need for revenge more and more! The tawny lioness growled faintly and lashed out at a near by tree, clawing the bark away as her ears and tail flickered in a mixture of anger and alertness.  Zira needed to focus, Scar sent her here for a reason and she would not let her beloved mate down.

Timon gave a groan to assure the others he was alive. He couldn’t say he felt alright, especially after having both the weight of a warthog and full grown man on top of him. His twitching limbs were enough to convince the meerkat just to stay where he was sprawled out on the ground. At least for another moment or two while he tried to regain his strength. Otherwise, Pumbaa could hoist him up with one of his tusks and give him a ride back home. He peeked out of one eye and peered around where they had landed.

"We’re at the Vanaheim's gate.” The meerkat answered. The two large and fruitful, though fake, trees were a dead giveaway of this. “We must be at the north, or west, or north-west side of the city. Uh, however that happened.” He could explain where they were but how exactly they had gotten there was something else entirely.

Stretching out, Wolf cracked his back a bit and rubbed his neck looking around him. Timon was right, this is the Vanaheim Gate, but how did they get here? Well, same way he got warped into the savanna he guessed. Wolf folded his arms, “Grrrf, well you’re right, this is Vanaheim. That warp hole musta brought us here.”

Wolf rubbed his chin in thought trying to analyze the situation they’re in, “I know that same warp hole came out of nowhere in my closet. That’s how I appeared in the savanna and came across you two there,” he made a slight growl as look to the side, “I didn’t expect Scar’s mate to be there as well though.”

"Vanaheim? Where's that?" Directions were far from Pumbaa's strong suit. Then again, just about everything was, really--unless it involved something related to Hakuna Matata--but directions were something he was especially bad at.

He listened intently while Wolf talked, then looked oddly thoughtful for a second. "Oo! I think I know what he's talking about, Timon! It happened to me before! I met two really weird looking humans. One of them was green, and the other one was purple."

“Warp hole?” The meerkat repeated. “Closet…?” Timon slowly sat up to look between the two in confusion. “What are you talking about? And when did you go through a… warped hole?” Was there a defective closet in the apartment too? They’d need to get that fixed. Although, the idea of Vyers opening his closet to stumble into another part of the city was rather amusing… No. No. If he forgot and opened the door himself he’d have a long walk back to the apartment, assuming he didn’t find himself in another world. Er, on another floor. Whatever.

“Hate to break it to you, Pumbaa, but humans don’t come in green and purple. They don’t get fun colours. They're anti-fun.” The meerkat shook his head. “Whatever you found wasn’t human.” But what he had certainly interested Timon. “What else did they look like? Did they have names?”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2011-08-17 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf gave a chuckle at that, who heard of a green and purple human? Sounds more like a goblin or an elf to him. Wolf waved his hand, as he rolled his eyes at Timon, “Grrf, I prefer to see myself as mostly fun, even if I am half human. But no Pumbaa, humans don’t come in those colors, unless you know, they ate or drank something that disagreed with them.”

Really, in Wolf’s opinion was meerkats, at least in Timon’s case, seem much less fun, no sense of adventure. Always try to argue, and where in the world is the fun in that? Though, speaking of not fun things, he still remembered something. Wolf looked down, waiting for Pumbaa to describe the creatures he was talking about, and muttered, “Hey… Timon.”

Shifting a foot while kneeling, Wolf looked directly at the meerkat, “About earlier… Since I did manage to save you guys… Are you still willing to give me the information? You know, about the Organization?”

"Uh...I think their names were Zim and Yzma. And now that you mention it, I guess they didn't really look that human..." Now Pumbaa was just confused. "But if they weren't human, then what were they? The little green guy didn't even have a nose."

The warthog didn't hear Wolf's question, as he was lost in thought trying to figure out what those two might have been. "Well, I guess Yzma kind of looked like a really big purple bug."

As soon as Wolf has said his name, Timon knew exactly where he had been meaning to go with the conversation. He shuffled back slightly, having finally climbed up onto his feet and looked away from Wolf. “Uh…” Timon had never really wanted to give him any information, especially after what he had last done with it. He knew history was bound to repeat itself. Maybe not necessarily with Scar but Wolf perusing the exact thing the meerkat had told him not to. They had gotten off easy with the lion. The Organization would be something else entirely. He slowly sunk his teeth into his lip and went to sneak a glance at Wolf. Unfortunately he was looking right at him.

“Well, I am a meerkat of my word.” He replied unsteadily. “But I’m not about to tell you where to find them. What I can, is that these guys lost their hearts to this Darkness and became somethin’ else. They don’t feel emotions like the rest of us, even if they act like they do, and they won’t hesitate to hurt you either. So, for once, take my advice and keep away from ‘em. Scar, believe it or not, at least has a heart. These guys are a whole other league, even if they are just the remaining parts left by the heart. Keep away from them.”

Wolf had probably heard this story before. Just about everyone who knew of the Organization had. But Timon had that in mind when he spoke. He promised information but nothing new. Timon looked over at Pumbaa who still seemed to be contemplating his original question and gave a small smile. Pumbaa may not have been very bright but he knew he would never have to worry about him chasing after the Organization.

Making a face, Wolf remembered the weird looking creatures he saw once on the journals. “Oh yea… I think I know who you’re talking about, grrf, yea,” Wolf nodded in agreement, “I think they’re both overlarge insects of some kind. I think they’re even uglier than trolls.” Twitching slightly at remembering the bumbling trio of ugly trolls who followed Virginia and him around back in his home world.

Wolf kept his attention on Timon as he watched the meerkat. Listening to what he had to say, Wolf adjusted his footing, letting his one knee rest on the ground as he lets his arm rest against his other leg that stayed kneeled. Wolf rubbed his chin, he never heard of anyone or any creature that went on without a heart, beside the ones he encountered here, the heartless. If he ever did met an intelligent creature with no heart, he would suspect it to be the results from a dark magic of some kind, but truly someone without heart seemed almost impossible. However, Wolf knew he could trust Timon to be telling the truth, especially with something like this. Letting his hand down, he shook his head, “Timon, I’m not gonna go after them, if what you say is true then they’re not to be messed with.”

Though that brought up something curious, how powerful were these guys? “Do they possess dark powers, I know I already suspect Scar of summoning the heartless that night but-Are the Organization more powerful? What kinda of powers do they possess, do you know?” Wolf asked.

“Summoning Heartless is just a parlour trick with them. They can do a lot more, each of ‘em having some kinda different element based power. But I gave you your information.” Timon may have promised information but he had never said how much or how little he would share. Here felt like a good place to stop, mostly because Wolf had no reason to know what powers the Organization possessed unless he intended to pass that information to someone who would go after them when he wouldn’t. “So, with my end of the bargain held up, we’re even.”

Glancing over at Pumbaa, who still appeared to be talking to himself about colours, the meerkat waved for him to follow his leave. “C’mon, Pumbaa, we’re outta here.”

[identity profile] learntoloveem.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
Timon hadn't really considered very much of this information to be relevant to Pumbaa, so the warthog just kind of blinked and watched. He didn't have anything to add, obviously, so it wouldn't make much sense for him to speak up.

"Okay Timon!" he agreed happily, turning around to trot off. "It was really nice to meetcha, Wolf!"

Wolf eyes widen at this news, different elements of power. That’s very interesting. Wolf held out his hand for Timon to stop, “Wait a minute, Timon,” standing back up as he bit his lip slightly, “Well if… If that’s all you’re gonna give me then...”

There was a slight moment of silence, before Wolf gave a sigh, “Oh never mind, thanks Timon, Pumbaa.” He turned around putting his hand in his pockets. Looking down as he walked away, seriously debating what in the fairying forests he was up against. It wasn’t until now that he just realized he might be in too deep... Far too deep.
