Mao wasn't long behind Riku, having had an easier time of climbing the cliff than Riku due to his greater mobility. At least this area didn't look as barren as the other one. There was some promise here. Maybe the two of them would get lucky and find someone they could force to lead them where they needed to go. Riku had more muscle to him than Mao did in this form. He could probably do the intimidation needed for that.

He wasn't sure if they would need it--or if there was anyone around this floor, really--but considering how their luck had been today, Mao wouldn't be too surprised.

"Good. You'd better deliver on that." Not that Mao wasn't going to try to make something good happen too, but if he didn't have to work for it, all the better. He peered about, surveying the area for any landmarks that would be good to check out. What kind of place would animals frequent, anyway? "Oi. Maybe we should look for water." They'd have to take a drink sometime, wouldn't they?
