Pumbaa matched Simba's grin. "You did say you would, Timon," he added, trying to get the meerkat to give in and go find something for them all to eat. "And you know it's not very nice to go back on a promise, especially when that promise has something to do with food."

He wasn't sure it would work this time, but all he really had to do was keep trying, and eventually Timon would just get fed up with it and go get something for them all to eat anyway. Pumbaa had it all worked out.
