"Or I could just take what I need," Naesala simply said. "And it's safe to say that humans aren't the wisest creatures in existence. Some are however decent. Not all of them discriminate laguz." People such as Ike, a mercenary, were the few Naesala saw no point in raiding from.

He eyed some of the jewels in the bushes, not caring if Duma watched him do so. He kept mental note of the colored gems'location. The shiny leaves from the trees and fake vegetation placed here and there he felt was not worth much of anything. The jewels, real gold, and certain goods were what he'd focus on gathering and storing--later.

Naesala was indifferent to the chapel before them. He's seen bigger and more fancier churches in Begnion, to which looked as crowded as it did in this city. That's a floor of a castle, he recalled to himself in mild disbelief.

He brushed aside some of his bangs with his free hand, as he started to explain about the world he's known ever since he was a Nestling. "Kilvas, as I stated before. It is the smallest speck of land out there in Tellius. There is a larger isle next to it, but the King Tibarn and the rest of his hawks reside there. Tibarn is a hawk who sides with his kind. I'm among the ravens. Each nation of Tellius has her own king... The herons used to live peacefully in the forest of Serenes, near the largest human city, but the few still living I've heard are to stay with the beast king of Gallia for awhile."

He could have mocked those oh so noble hawks on clinging to what pride remains, but he decided not to. Those quarrels were really the business between hawk and laguz anyway, no one else.
