An Earthbender and a Viera Walk into a Bar...[Open/Active]
Character(s): Toph, Fran, and anyone who might bump into them?
Content: Toph trying to pick more fights with other people stuck in Paixao. Looks like it's Fran's turn.
Setting: Cafe Ersesat
Time: Lunch times! OMNOMNOMNOM
Warnings: Just Toph being her spunky, rude self. I don't know about Fran though...
Toph was no stranger to Cafe Erestat. She had collected plenty of jewels from the fake plants to eat there quite often, to the dismay of the local people that worked there.
It was lunch time, and Toph marched in to the restaurant and took her usual seat in the middle of the dining room, placing her feel up on the table. The waiter came and reluctantly took her order as she cracked her toes and fingers. All she had to do now was wait for her meal.

This was none of those. She'd simply decided to be somewhere else for a time. Perhaps she'd even turn up a interesting snippet or two. There'd been rather a lack of honest pirating of late. For now, however, she simply strode into the cafe, ignoring the usual host of stares at her ears. She was used to them, by this point.

"I am as I should be," she answered, shifting to rest one hand on her hip.

The waiter then brought Toph her food, which she immediately started to devour while making a mess and rude slurpy noises. In between ripping apart her food and chewing, she commented to the human-rabbit again. "You know, you might want to think about getting some clothes too. I don't mind people goin' around naked or anything, but it gets cold at night sometimes."

But neither was Fran going to rise to the bait so clearly. Humes were not to be blamed for their ignorance where vieran customs were concerned.
"Have you no viera where you come from?"
no subject
Toph chomped a bit more before going on. "So, do those things on your head ever get caught on stuff? I don't think they'd be very good to have in a fight. Someone could grab them and swing you around like a rag doll." No, Toph still wasn't taking the viera seriously, and she had no intention of doing so in the first place. At least, not until it proved that it wasn't as goofy as it seemed it was.

She wasn't surprised by the answer. The earlier mention of 'pig-rabbits' had implied some world she wasn't familiar with, and she already knew that most of the people here fell firmly into the category of people who hadn't heard of viera. But neither did that mean that frankly idiotic question would be tolerated.
"They would be welcome to try," she answered, in a tone that suggested that anyone who tried would find things going less than well for them.

human-rabbitviera a mischievous grin. "Sounds like you know how to fight." Finally. Maybe this weirdo was a sparring opponent she was hoping for. "How'd you like to test your skills on the world's best earthbender?"no subject
What, precisely an 'earthbender' was she less certain on but that wasn't enough to stop her. If the rude hume wished a fight, so be it.
"Best to not stay in here, then."
no subject
She really hoped that the viera would be worth this. She didn't want boring fights like the ones she had to deal with in the tournament.
"Oh, the name's Toph." She started picking her nose as she left the cafe.

"Fran," she answered as she followed after Toph, doing her best to put any further displays of uncouth habits out of her mind as she did so.

"Best to have a set place at which to stop."

"We should probably set up a wall or something too so stupid people don't get hurt." Who knew what kind of idiot around here would step in the middle of them. Knowing Sokka, Toph knew that such people actually existed.
no subject
"A wall would be best, yes," she answered with a nod.

Toph got her earthbending stance. "Ready when you are!"
no subject
She didn't recognize the spell that created the wall, but perhaps this was the earthbending had been mentioned earlier. How well it did in combat or something near it would remain to be seen.
"I am ready."

It was rare for Toph to attack fist, as she preferred to feel what her opponent was up to and act accordingly. She waited patiently for Fran to make a move.

So after a brief gesture and a word murmured under her breath, the familiar glow of a fire spell was heading Toph's way.

Now it was her turn. Toph forced one half of her earthen shield to speed towards Fran, waiting with the other to send so she could send it flying at Fran at the right moment.
