Dreamers [completed]
Characters: Riku, NPC
Content: Riku meets with a very special individual, who imparts some interesting information.
Setting: Dream!Zanarkand, Spira
Time: During this log.
Warnings: PLOT
A city dead for a thousand years... A city that had been both the beginning and end of a boy's journey. A city that had faded with that boy on the dawn of a new beginning of the world.
When Riku awoke, he would find himself in that city. Though it was the dead of night, lights could be seen in every window of the tall skyscrapers that lined the city skyline. Long highways were held aloft high in the city underneath arcs of water, suspended by some strange force. If Riku were to look the other way, he would see the ocean, extending on into the night--stars hidden by the lights of the city. Near the platform was docked a houseboat, bobbing gently in the waves, the light in front of its door glowing softly.
It was too quiet for a city. The lights were on, but somehow the city still seemed dead. The only sounds were the wind and the waves lapping against the side of the boat.
