Lost Pup [Active/Open]
Character(s): Toboe, and anyone who wants a cute puppy to run into. [Is punted by muse.]
Content: Toboe arrives at Paixao, and he;s very confused and scared.
Setting: Vanaheim Gate and the surrounding area.
Time: Late Morning (Week...26 I think?)
Warnings: Just a scaredrunt pup. He won't bite.
Toboe had followed Kiba out of the city with Tsume and Hige. They had run very far that night, trying to get as far away from the city and the humans as they could. When they finally stopped to rest, Toboe fell right asleep…
The problem came when he woke up. When he had fallen asleep, it had been snowing, and he had been pretty cold. Now, he felt the warmth of the sun and soft grass underneath him. Toboe got up with a start, looking around and trying to find his companions. No matter which direction he looked, he couldn’t see them. Their scents weren’t even around, except maybe...Tsume's? Instead, there was a large done close by, similar to the domed city he had just escaped from, but also very different. Toboe put on his illusion and carefully approached the dome, afraid of what he might run in to.
Unfortunately, there were humans everywhere. Well, it was a city. It was humans that tended to build them. On the plus side, none of the humans seemed to pay him any attention. Instead, they were all standing in a line outside a large gate that led inside the dome. Not knowing what else to do, Toboe joined in.
Before too long, Toboe reached the end of the line. He froze in fear as the human stared at him.
“Welcome to Paixao.”
Before Toboe had time to react, a strange devise was shoved in his ‘hands’ and he was shoved out of the way to make room for the other people coming in.
“Paixao?” Toboe stared at the devise, then looked around. No. this place was nothing like the city he had just left. It was more lively, and yet, more dead at the same time, the only scents Toboe being able to pick up was that of humans and the food they ate. He could tell just from the smell of the place that the plants weren’t real, and he couldn’t hear or smell any other animals around either. Not even rats.
Toboe found a place to stay out of the way while he tried to grasp his bearings. “Kiba? Tsume? Hige?” He knew calling out for them would yield to nothing, but he couldn’t help it. Fear gripped the young wolf, and he walked over to an unoccupied corner, sitting down against the wall and trying to figure out what to do next.

because this will end beautifully
And so, without the knowledge base of when Toboe showed up from, a very excited Blue in her wolf form runs towards him. "Toboe!"
no subject
Wait a second. Did she just talk? Did she just call out his name? What was going on?
Toboe back up to the wall, fear plastered on his face. "Wha-When could you talk? Where's that human that always follows you?"
no subject
"T-Toboe, what are you talking about?"
Why was he acting like this? And how he was referring to the old man... After everything...
no subject
"What are you talking about?" Toboe's instincts were telling him to flee, but the dog...no, she had to be a wolf in front of him prevented him from doing so. Thankfully, Toboe couldn't see or smell the old man around. "Last time I saw you, you chased us out of the city!"
Toboe was ready to high-tail it, and he'd do what he could to get past the
dogwolf in front of him.no subject
"Toboe, things changed!" She insists. "All because of Cheza..." She glances down sadly. "I guess then... I'm from your future. Heh, this city..."
no subject
dogwolf."Cheza..." that name was familiar. Oh, yeah! "You...you know about the flower maiden? You know about Paradise?"
Toboe was still on edge, but his fear was melting more into confusion. "What do you mean? You...you're from the future?"
Was this something the Nobles came up with? Nothing made sense! What was going on?!
no subject
How could she tell him without giving away the worst of everything? No. The others succeeded. She's sure of it.
"It's this city. It can drag people from their worlds - many different worlds - and... different times. Cheza is very dear to me. Everyone is..."
no subject
She couldn't be lying, could she? The human certainly wasn't around, and she could put up the illusion.
The idea that there were other worlds was mind-boggling. Toboe sat back down, his human illusion seeming to slide down the wall of the building and putting his head in his hands. "So...so I guess your part of our pack now?" He looked back up at the wolf. There was nothing threatening about her now.
He then looked back down, his human illusion blushing a little from embarrassment. "Well, you know my name. But I don't know yours." He looked back up and gave her a curious look.
no subject
"I think Tsume is in the city, somewhere, but I haven't been able to find him. I don't think he uses the journals either." She points to his own. "Those help keep in touch with others around the city. It's safe to be a wolf here."
no subject
"You mean...the humans? They're not scared of us?" Toboe looked around at the people. Not only did they all seem to smell the same, but they looked a lot alike too.
Then again, they weren't in a panic when Blue was running in her wolf form. But still, she had passed off as a dog before, so surely she could do it again if she really wanted.
Toboe then looked back at the devise one of the humans and given him. "Do you think we'll be able to fine Tsume with this? What about the others? Kiba nd Hige are here too, aren't they?"
no subject
"I already tried contacted Tsume through it, but with no such luck. We'll have to track him down. But the others... No, they're not. With Tsume lurking about and now you..." Her expression changes to a mix of sadness and joy. "I never thought I'd ever see any of you here..."
no subject
Toboe's fear was gone now. Instead, it had been replaced with disappointment and sadness. He could tell Cheza wasn't here. Her scent was nowhere to be found. But knowing that Hige and Kiba were somewhere off on their own...it just made Toboe sad.
"We should start looking for him then!" Toboe knew that Tsume could very well take care of himself, but Toboe just wanted to be around a friend, even if Tsume had yet to admit that they were friends yet.
no subject
They did need to find Tsume. She could only hope that he was from a closer time period than Toboe though not so far as the trauma Darcia had caused...
Blue wanted to hug Toboe. For everything that hasn't happened, for the connections and understanding they had once shared, and for being able to see him alive again.
But she held herself back.
"You're right. Between the two of us, we'll find him."
no subject
He was distracted by the idea of searching for Tsume though. He smiled. "We will find him! Let's go!" His illusion took hold of Blue's wrist and he pulled her forward a few steps, then suddenly stopped. Tobow sniffed the air, but he couldn't really catch Tsume's scent. If he had been around here, it was ages ago, thus, they wouldn't be able to follow a scent trail. He turned back to Blue.
"Where do you think we should start?"
no subject
"Well, I doubt he's in the park. He's probably taken residence in one of the buildings, but... that doesn't really narrow it down." She pulls out her journal and opens up the map function so that Toboe could see what she was doing. Blue had been a part of this city for far too long. "We're here," she says, pointing at the Vanaheim gate area. Her finger moves to point at G6. "Jogo da Crianca is the park. From there... I'm not too sure."
no subject
He snapped back to what he should be thinking about. They had to find Tsume! "He stayed in an old building back in the city. Uhm...the other city." It would make sense for Tsume to find another empty one to have for shelter.
"Well...maybe he went to the park to get food." Toboe still couldn't smell any other animals like birds or mice or rats, but maybe they just weren't in this part of the city.
no subject
"Perhaps we can move through the city and try to attract him by howling. The domes may help to amplify it."
no subject
"You mean the humans?" Toboe have them a nervous glance. His experience with humans never seemed to end well. Even though Blue had mentioned that these humans weren't afraid of them, that didn't help Toboe's fears.
"If we howl though...won't that...won't that scare the humans?"
no subject
She glances off to the side, putting away her journal. "We might attract some other company, but they're alright. Sort of like us, in a way."
no subject
He perked up at the other comment Blue made. Other company? "Are you talking about the giant cats?"

"Yeah! Let's go!" Toboe's enthusiasm suddenly returned to him, but maybe a bit too much. He wanted to run. Run and find Tsume. That's almost all that was on his mind, other than food further back there. He didn't know the way to the park though, and thus, had to wait for Blue to lead on.
no subject
Jogo da Crianca at least wasn't a long run from Vanaheim, and Blue had taken to her natural form, if only to prove to Toboe that they were remotely safe like this.
Once she makes it to the edge of the park, she paces around its outer area, then sits amongst the unreal grass, gazing around.
no subject
Toboe drops his own illusion and does his best to catch up, now following her scent more than his view of her. He reaches the park to see that Blue had found a place to sit.
His curiosity takes over a bit though, and he walks off a small distance, sniffing at an artificial bush with crystal flowers and emerald leaves. He really can't decide if he likes such...plant life or not.
It only takes a moment for him to return to Blue. "I don't smell Tsume at all. All I smell are the humans around here." He could also pick up on some other scents he wasn't familiar with, but guessed that they came from different animals. Hopefully, none of them came from the giant cats Blue had mentioned earlier.
no subject
"This place," she meant the park, "is strange but... often times there are less humans, except off in that direction," she points her nose off towards where the playground rested.
no subject
"So, where should we start looking? I don't smell Tsume anywhere."
no subject
She sighs. She was much out of practice when it came to tracking.
"...maybe splitting up and taking different halves of the city would be easier."
no subject
It didn't take too long for him to cave though. "That should make things easier I guess. Which way should I go?"
