This situation didn't seem to be lending itself to a good resolution any time soon. Mrs. Potts sighed internally. She was beginning to think she'd have to wait a long time for him to leave the room so she could use her journal or -

No, wait... she'd probably left the thing back at the apartment. She hadn't exactly been expecting to leave for an extended period of time.

Eventually, she gave in trying to keep silent and secret. He'd complimented her and she wasn't the type to let that go without a proper response. Plus, she was sure by this point that she wouldn't be getting home unless she explained things to him. Maybe over a nice hot cup of tea.

"Why thank you, sir," she murmured to him, fully expecting him to look surprised when he finally figured out who, or what, had spoken to him.
