Timon did not respond to Riku’s comment regarding those who would have otherwise been dead had it not been for Paixao. That led to too many questions that were sure to hurt his head. If one of these alleged deceased folk were to reach the top of this so called castle, what would happen to them? Would returning home be the end for them, lead to their ultimate demise, or had Paixao somehow changed their fate? The meerkat wrinkled his nose at the idea and looked away from the teen. His attention, however, was quickly brought back to him at the mention of climbing the castle further.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” he said, waving his paws in the air in front of him. “’We’?” Timon repeated. “Where do you get ‘we’? You don’t mean ‘me’ in there, do you? Because as far as this whole castle climbing thing goes, you can count me out. Meerkats aren’t built for this sort of thing, you know. We’re anti-long-distance-climbers. Note the lack in stature in comparison to you: animals built for long distant climbing. Long distant castle climbing. You will take them on as you get to them.”
