Luckily for Timon, his attention was one to quickly wander, especially when food was involved. For just when he was about to dump the shakers content on his face (and more importantly in his eye) the kitchens doors suddenly slammed open. He turned his head and the salt poured safely onto the table. The aroma that wandered from the waiter’s tray reached Timon’s nose before he had even taken a step into the dining, causing the meerkat to quickly drop the salt shaker and raced to the end of the table to investigate the dish. If it smelt that good, he could only begin to image how it must have tasted.
He leaned out, looming over the hot dish held at just the right height for him to steal from it while the waiter carried it past. However, in the process of taking something from the plate, Timon spotted Riku standing across from him not far from the table. His lip twitched, a nervously smile slowly spread across his features while he waved to the teen. A wave, of course, that was what he had originally intended to do. What did Riku think he had been doing, stealing? Preposterous!
