She heard the incredulity in Zetta's voice and even understood it -- most people wouldn't want to be trapped in a world that wasn't their own. But Paixao was no different to her than any other place, when you got right down to it. She'd been drifting between worlds since she made a pact with the devil. And now, there was even more of a compelling reason to stay: there was no Hades here.

But she wasn't about to talk about this to anyone, least of all this guy. Not that he really cared.

She shrugged at his question, turning to lean against the wall of the nearby building. "Nothing's been proven, it's just a theory. But it's the only one that makes any sense." Her mouth twisted into a dark smirk. "Or maybe they're just trying to convince themselves."
