Having heard a loud noise in the distance, Celes woke up reaching for a sword that wasn't there. Her hand only finding cloth and bone, she remembered where she was and what she had been doing the past few weeks. She was in Paixao, or, she was in what the woman Lightning called their apartment. Since she had been found lying on the gates of Muspelhiem, Celes had been pretty much confined to this room as she healed. More precisely, she was confined to this couch. Not that she minded. Try as she might, she had only been able to pick herself up long enough to go to the bathroom. Though lately she had been able to push herself much long without growing tired -- much to her roommate's annoyance. She could understand that she wanted to be cared for, but lately Celes was looking for any excuse to move around. The loud noise in the other room certainly qualified.

She quietly made her way over to the other room and saw Lightning hunched over, looking over a tattoo across an exposed part of her chest. Funny, Celes thought, she didn't really seem the type to have a tattoo -- much less where it was. Of what little she knew of her (and it was little -- Celes' wasn't much for unnecessary prying) Lightning wouldn't have something like that there. Voluntarily anyway.

Clearly, Celes needed to tease her a little. "You don't seem like the vain type," she chuckled from within the doorway.
