Not Made for This Sort of Thing [Active/Open]
Character(s): Sid, anyone else
Content: Sid arrives at Paixao, panics, and then is distracted by his new journal.
Setting: Joutenheim Gate
Time: Week 21, evening
Warnings: None that I see coming.
It was the first thing Sid saw when he woke up. The gates, standing tall in the distance. It was hard to miss - The figures of two huge humans with thick sticks. It took a moment for everything else to register, but soon enough it did. The line of people nearby him - dressed very differently from the humans he'd seen - was the second thing to come into focus; the third was the fact that it was night out - so why had he woken up? The fact that he was in a different place from where he'd fallen alseep was the last thing to click in his mind.
But when it did, did it ever. Sid leapt up onto his feet and looked around. "Manny?! Diego?!" He was panicking - How could he not? Sid was usually able to go with the flow, but the flow had never lead him to anything like this before. He kept looking around and calling out his friends names until it became quite clear that he was all alone.
"What the heck is this place?" he muttered to himself. After a moment of thought, he decided that he might as well join the line. They were humans, sure, but the line was moving - going somewhere, which was more than he was doing right now. He didn't bother asking where he was - weirdly dressed or not, these were still humans. Not the most intelligent creatures out there, everyone knew that. Finally, after what felt like ages to the confused sloth, he reached the gate.
"Name, please?"
Sid looked up, startled. The human was talking to him? "S-Sid," he stuttered, making his lateral lisp even more obvious than usual. He was then surprised once again when he was handed a... Thing. Looking at the gatekeeper with confusion, (and maybe a hint of suspicion), he took it, completely unsure of what he'd just gotten. He stood there under the gate - causing a number of people to have to walk around him - and fiddled with his new posession, trying to figure out just what it was.
