Laharl was relatively quiet the whole trip. He'd slipped away from Etna and Flonne easily enough, although it wouldn't take them long to realize he'd left. Hopefully they wouldn't think to check here; maybe that's what Urd was going for.

Of course, he had no idea what state he'd return in. It might be a few days before it would be safe to return. And then there was that other possibility...

He was trying not to think of it, but there it was. The prospect he could suffer from this more than what was easily recoverable from, was, of course, more than a little concern to the young Overlord. Laharl just didn't like the alternative much either. He'd had time to think on it quite a lot through the day. Even if Laharl did, at times, hate his old man and was frustrated by him... it was still his father. He just could not summon the desire to step back and just let him die without doing anything.

But the other issue still remained.

Laharl wouldn't let it be that way. He wouldn't! This had to work. He'd not let this 'program' take all his power and mana. No way.

He jerked slightly from his thoughts when they'd arrived and Timon had spoken up. "She's probably here somewhere. It's not like she doesn't know from where we'd arrive from," Laharl said, looking around.
