‘For what?’ the beast had asked. Oh, such a silly question. Genie tried not to laugh while he turned his glance to the apartment’s walls. He suspected the walls wear to have been because of Beast, however, the apartment could have easily been in such shape when he moved in as well. The prince did not appear to be particularly observant or really even care for the state of his room in the first place. He quirked a brow, amused grin across his features as he watched Beast observe the room and draw to his own conclusion.
“I told you: it’s way too dark in here, too dreary. I’m getting depressed just sitting here. We need to brighten the place up. Here, I brought a sample book. I personally like the floral pattern I mentioned but maybe you’ll find something else you like in there too.” Passing the book to Beast, Genie took another sip of his tea before speaking again. “Just don’t go with any stripes. The stripes don’t work. What is this, a prison? I don’t think so.”
