Well now! That was better. A grin spread itself across Genie’s lips when Beast not only accepted the teacup but thanked him too. He knew he wouldn’t have to ask the beast to use manners. Feeling rather accomplished, the genie summoned a cup of tea for himself as well. He took a long, slow sip, as though to savour the taste of his success before he spoke again.

“You’re welcome.” The genie said for a second time, however only then could his true sincerity be felt. “I couldn’t leave, not yet. There’s still a lot to be done here. I haven’t even put up the floral print wallpaper yet.”
