The genie waited patiently for Beast to speak up, watching him thoughtfully as he hid his face in his paw. He wasn’t sure what he was thinking, but by the way he was acting Genie suspected Beast must have felt frustrated, maybe even embarrassed. Unfortunately he could only guess as far as these things went but things had not taken a turn for the worst just yet. Beast still hadn’t asked or even insinuated he leave once. Well, maybe once. But that time didn’t count. Until he asked him again, Genie had no intention of leaving. Instead, levitated next to the beast as though he too were sitting, his chin placed in his palm while he waited for the beast to speak again.
“Spot of tea?” he asked, innocently offering another cup to Beast. “Good for the heart, you know.”
