It was hard to intimidate Beast with a maneuver he used so often himself, so Genie's sudden closeness did little more than make Beast's eyes go wide. They went wider still when Genie made himself look like Cogsworth, after Beast had a moment to relax. He blinked once, then thought he was seeing double for a second when suddenly there were two, and one pointed at him.

"Y-yes," Beast stammered again, trying to take in everything, and not doing a very good job. It was almost as much as the day everyone transformed...though...not nearly as horrible.
