"Oh, you're a prince! It's a pleasure to meet you, Prince Naveen," she responded sincerely with a small bow, for courtesy's sake. "My name is Ariel," she added with a grin a beat later, omitting the Princess part. While it may have been something important to Naveen, the title wasn't a big deal to her. Rather, it seemed that every time it was brought up, people treated her differently... they generally stopped talking about anything but the weather, as if they were going to offend her. She hated that.
A frog prince really didn't strike her as abnormal, either, considering Ariel was acquainted with many of the other courts beneath the sea... surely the frogs had hierarchy. But Maldonia, now THAT was unfamiliar.
"I've never heard of Maldonia," she admitted. "What is it like, there?" she asked with sincere curiosity, hoping she wasn't walking too fast for the smaller creature to hop along with her. She didn't want to offend him by just picking him up, or even offering to carry him. Princes didn't usually seem to respond to you very well if you think they need any help...
