New arrival [Active, Open]

Character(s): Dahlia Hawthorne and anybody else who wants to join.

Content: Dahlia enters Paixao.

Setting: Vanaheim Gate entrance

Time: Midday

Warnings: None yet.

The only reason that Dahlia had approached the Paixao dome at all was to ask for directions. After all, she had expected that, after her death, she would ‘wake up’ inside a temple wearing an acolyte’s uniform which might be a little too small for her. Instead, however, she actually awoke in some grassland, wearing her favourite embroidered dress.

At first, she asked herself if she was actually inside Pearl’s body. But then why was she wearing her own clothes? Did her mother order her youngest daughter to dress up like Dahlia and then channel her for a sick joke? No, even a wicked and twisted woman like Morgan would probably not do that. Did Pearl put on the clothes herself to play a practical joke? No, the little brat was probably too stupid for that. Who channelled her, then? Also, where exactly was she? Why was she not in some secluded (and boring) temple in the mountains? Actually, why could she not see any mountains at all?

The young woman could not work it out. However, what she did decide to do was go and search for help. Wander the wilderness until she could find somebody who knew where the temple was. And that was how she found the great dome.

Dahlia, at first, was baffled by what she saw. Why would anybody be stupid enough to build a huge dome in the middle of nowhere and away from civilization? However, as she looked more closely, she could make out a few people standing in front some….trees? What the hell is this place? She thought. Why would people be stupid enough to come here?

She was even more puzzled when she got closer and closer to the dome and realised that the trees actually made some sort of archway and that three people were queuing up to it. From what it looked like, they were giving the man in front of the archway their names before going in.

Well, whatever stupid reason they had did not matter to Dahlia. The only thing that mattered was that somebody knew where the Hazakura Temple was. By the time she reached the gate, however, the three people that were queuing up had already gone in. The guard was still there, however, and Dahlia decided to take advantage of that.

“Um…excuse me, sir,” she said, turning her head down , hoping that looking like a lost kitten would make the man pity her. “I’m so sorry to bother you, but I think I’m lost”.

“Your name, please?” the guard asked.

“Ummm…my name is D-” she began before stopping and mentally cursing for nearly making such a stupid move. Dahlia Hawthorne was supposed to be dead! Hanged for her crimes. If she revealed her true name, either somebody might think that she was mad or, even worse, she would be in serious trouble. No, she could not reveal her name. She had to keep a low profile.

“My name is, um…Jessica,” she said, quickly thinking of a name in her head. “Umm….sir, I feel so ashamed for asking this, but I’m look-”

But before she could continue, the guard suddenly shoved some sort of pink device into her hands. “Welcome to Paixao,” he told her, without any hint of emotion in his voice. “Enjoy your stay.”

And before Dahlia could react, she was pushed through the gates of Paixao and into the city…
